Im quite a bit older than you Joe. I'm 62 and like most Christians I've had my peaks and valleys where my faith is concerned. You are very correct. It takes work, not for salvation, but to stay strong in our faith. Best advise to anyone who might read this.......pray and read the Bible. And again pray. Keep the lines of communication open every single day. Short or long, talk to God every single day. Never hang up. Keep that communication open daily. Have a blessed day. ✝️🙏

My mom said that when she was younger, she was in hospital due to sickness, and she said that one day she could not move at all but had a loving feeling, I believe that the LORD was hugging her, she was the one that introduced me to Christianity and for ever grateful for the LORD’s love and gifts. I can’t wait for him to return.

Joe this is very timely for me. You brought me some encouragement that I so desperately need. I’ve been in the wilderness for a solid year. God has given me times of rest and then the storm starts back up again. I am especially now being attacked by the evil one, as I grow closer to my Lord and the more time I spend with Him in prayer and in His word. I am asking for prayer that the Lord will strengthen my mind and not give in to the traps that the evil one is setting for me. This is a serious battle I am in and I’m putting together a support system of godly friends in my life to help me thru this. I am in the refiners fire right now. He’s refining me, disciplining me and sanctifying me and it’s very painful and at times I feel like I’m going to just fall apart. Turn from our wicked ways 2 Chronicles 7:14 If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and forgive their sins and heal their land. Yes Joe you hit the nail on the head. What you said hits me hard I have not to be an obedient child of God. My prayer life is horrible and my reading Gods word. I’m 60 years old and now that I’m not working, since I got hurt doing my job as a firefighter now I have no excuse for not being an obedient servant of God so now I’m trying to get closer and read his words and I thank you for your videos. Since I got hurt and now disabled I love you and me and my wife want to start going back to church. You are a big inspiration for me so I thank you even that you’re so far away from us. Good morning Joe I've been having trouble praying as I'm new to Christianity and reading the bible has been overwhelming. Firstly I find the level and amount of violence deeply disturbing and am full of self doubt as to my worthiness. Last night I prayed asking the Lord Jesus Christ to help me with prayer among other things. This morning I woke up and the first video on my YT recommendations was this video. I want to give up. I needed to hear this it gives me hope. I seem to bear the weight of the world on my shoulders as a single mom, I’m battling lupus and heart disease. I often face challenges that can seem insurmountable especially with raising two children with special needs. I’m trying to balance everything but Lord I’m struggling to make ends meet, to pay bills, and to put food on the table for my children and I feel so alone. At times I want to give up. But I keep faith because I know God will provide.❤

THANK YOU. YOU CAME RIGHT ON TIME Trust me this morning I was desperate on how to pray and do spiritual warfare, I was praying to God to give me that ability and told him I wasn't going to leave my bed till he answers my prayers.. I even went on my knees in bed; but eventually i got very doubtful and felt very sad inside as if i'm not meant to wield this sword (I call it sword in terms of fighting against spiritual darkness etc); so I made one last prayer to God then got out of bed.. still within me I felt sad, because of the same way you described it, I felt disconnected from God, and like my prayers aren't even reaching him.. this was something i've said to a friend yesterday also! I'm definitely going to try this prayer method, I feel this was definitely my message and hope it becomes the message others apart from me needed as well

I’m watching this just before I have my quiet time reading the word and praying. I have made a mess early last year because I didn’t make time to do that. God did get me back to doing what is good (going back to church and living like a believer) but it was His discipline and that was a separation with my wife and children, God hates break ups.

For me, there are days that I'm so grieved (lost my dad in 2023) & tired etc, but what the Lord taught me to do: is to pray in tongues, there are days when all I do is sigh, groan & pray. Praying in tongues helps so much, but just know that the enemy will attack you, however know that God will finish the work He started in you.

I grew up in church, but was awakened to know God in 2015. It has been a supernatural "red pill" journey. But suddenly it all has stopped. At first I was confused, then bitter, then However I continue to pray, study, spend time, most of my time with Him in someway. I dont understand but I pray someday I will.

There was a time I felt I was far away from the Lord and I was very concerned. In my spirit I heard that I should return to my first love. Instantly I knew what that meant. To go back to when I was first saved and how on fire I was. What did I do then that I wasn’t doing presently? I knew….I didn’t read the word as much. As I read less and less, I felt further away. Return to your first love dear family. Start with prayer and reading the word. It may be hard at first but it gets easier each time. Pray without ceasing. It doesn’t have to be a certain type of prayer but just speaking to your Father all day. I start each morning with a praise and Thanksgiving prayer. Then off and on all day I speak to him and then at night I give thanks and ask for blessings for people or protection. I like the ACTS analogy. Thanks for the message brother!

I have felt disconnected in the past, and it's a terrible feeling. Pastor Joe, I've recently been watching a few other Christian channels,or so they say... and I'm telling you never stoop so low that you start to become obsessed with them,as I'm sure you're well aware as to why I'm saying this. When did Christians start attacking eachother and fighting each other with Scripture, The word of God? These are examples of the Christians who truly think they are saved, but as Jesus said, Turn from me, I do not know you! I've seen a couple street preaching channels with teenagers spreading the word and the attacks these young kids go through...oh just wow, and 2 of them I like,but you're still my very favorite because of your style and calmness.. I had to take a few days because under your videos, especially off the kirb has so many people who are always in some type of banter and it really gets old fast. So keep on, keeping on & don't change ever! I would love to be able to know your insight into one of these Pastors, especially!?! I'm drawn to him but I think he puts all of his focus on the Holy Spirit and I love the Holy Spirit,but he's not Jesus and he's not God, (He's a separate entity and I say that because twice in my life I saw angels and they do NOT look anything like us, infact if I hadn't felt the warmth i would have been terrified,they're a different species so to say, I was in a bad situation and I was dying, I weighed 68lbs and I was in my 30s, but I remember hearing the most beautiful music coming our of the surround sound system that WASN'T ON ...throughout the house, and I can't describe the music but it wasn't from any instruments I've ever heard of and I used to sing, so I known music and I felt peace and warmth but because I was in a situation and dying, I also knew it was a message as well and I was living with a very weathy person but I knew I didn't want to die there living in his home) once when my daughter was little we went outside because I had a service lab, I am an animal behavioral specialist, and we heard the same music that sounded far off but close and i said to my daughter oh my goodness what beautiful music, but she started to cry saying"make it stop,i know them and I don't want him coming back to visit me!" And i was laughing saying that it's harmless, listen to the beauty of it, but she kept putting her hands over her ears crying, and she was so young, I took us all inside, so I'm not sure what was happening there angels and the Holy Spirit, aren't to be worshipped,the way I believe this One Preacher is kinda doing, I'm going to find a way to email you; God Bless you and yours and keep you safe from any harm!!!🕊️🕊️🕊️

Yes you cover the ACTS approach to prayer in your excellent book. I’m currently reading “Prayer and Spiritual Warfare” by Charles Spurgeon and covered about 50 pages or so. I recall he was not a big fan of adopting a type of formulaic approach to prayer but stressed the need to give it serious time, due consideration, respect and speak from the heart. But I do think the ACTS method is excellent particularly in a quiet prayer period when we are struggling to communicate with the Lord God.

One thing I learned over the years is to belong in a living church - to be involved in a life group fellowship. The Lord says whenever there’s 2 or 3 gathered in his name, he’s with them. A pastor once told us that if you have a quite time/devotion, you belong in a small group and serve, you serve in a church, you do missions and you worship God like it’s new every morning then you have a strong christian life. The bible readings just came in naturally. I don’t have to force myself to read from cover to cover. Another thing is obedience; God is pleased when your living in obedience and actually enjoying life in His goodness.

Just thank your God that you have your brain intact. See how you express your thoughts and feelings so well. I was diagnosed with aphasia (PPA) for years now and my speech and thought are gradually deteriorating. I can't even speak clearly to God in prayer. And so there is this reluctance to open mouth. So when life is fair to you, remember it may not be so with others as you turn into a motivational speaker.

LOVE THIS!! And it’s SO TRUE!! My pastor recommended the ACTS formula for praying and when I started to pray this way it TRANSFORMED my life!! I enjoy praying so much more now. I love spending time in the Adoration phase (I really had not spent time adoring God previously) and when I started, it almost became addictive for me to find all the different names, adjectives and phrases to praise the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Of course when I read the Bible I would remember or learn additional names, adjectives and phrases to adore God and give him glory. The confession part keeps getting bigger and bigger… not because I’ve sinned more but that God continues to reveal to me more and more as I spend time with him. For example not just asking for forgiveness of my sinful thoughts and sinful thoughts that led to sinful action but ALSO righteous thoughts that never led to righteous action and righteous thoughts that never got thought…AND not just all these thoughts consciously but subconsciously too… as in my dreams. I love spending time in the Thanksgiving part… Thank you God for my salvation, thank you that you are sovereign over salvation. Thank you that I can trust you with the souls of everyone I love because you love them more than me. Thank you for my next breath… I sometimes stay in the first 3 sections too long and before you know it I’m arriving at work. Need to spend more time in supplication! I also like to pray out loud when I’m driving by myself to work. It helps me stay focused and it becomes very conversational with God! I have a significant commute so this works well for me. On my days off I pray out loud to God as I’m feeding the barn animals. God is so good!! Thank you Joe for all you do… love your channel… and this video about praying with the ACTS formula is indispensable!! 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
