Great video I love to teach the bible and appreciate when teachers provide me with their method of preparing a bible study. Many of the steps that you take for bible study I also take as well as I am big in teaching the importance of getting together as the body of Christ. I also agree with your other points about preparing for a bible study.

I really liked this video. I have a school project where I must take Galatians and prepare a Bible Study for the whole book, so thank you for this video, I think it will certainly help me. I certainly will become acquainted with this process so I can use it in the future when I need or want to make a Bible Study. When first starting out I tend to recommend NOT doing topical studies (which is what you suggested)... Why? Because it is so easy to twist scripture and use it out of context when we do topical studies. It is better to study a book of the Bible. You wouldn't pick up a fiction novel and read just read a random paragraph... You read the whole book so that you have the context of each paragraph and sentence. This is a more healthy way of studying the Bible and can really help us to avoid using verses out of context.

These are also steps on having a sermon ready which is relevant for teaching the studied passage. To avoid applying the passage into our own understanding, let the scripture reveal its own meaning with another scripture, everyone should atleast have a Study Bible and Bible Concordance on their Spiritual Library for a safe reference when studying the Bible.
