meant measurements for the wheels, was trying to get nicer rims than the warlock but if they do best ill just do that. And so far follow all your tips and theyre all very helpful keep up the good work!

Yep, they are perfect. Broke 3 stock but no integy yet. I recommend it as spare part !

great video as usuall, I have used all your upgrades on my savage and they all work well. I have burned up one esc from the wires coming out and arcing on the terminals so now I will try your zip tie technique.

I realize 3 week ago that I suffer from very severe sleep apnea for the past 10 years lol... I feel like I wake up from a 10yrs nightmare :). Now I'm loaded with energy and motivation for the hobby! Next summer will be awesome... I have many interesting ideas... :) TY for watching !

My punch is at 50%. This setting is really a personnal preference. Punch control does not change anything to the truck performance. It only change the feeling of the trigger. I suggest you to try 100%, then 50% and 0%. You will probably spend lots of hours driving your truck... Spending 15 min to have your perfect trigger felling is important. If you have any questions, just ask !

Stock is perfect. I use stock setting for my trucks. 18 or 19T Pinion is very good too.

Good point, but not everyone have solder gun... Twist and tape like i suggest, wrap with the bottom of the ESC, protect by a Vorza tray... It should be strong enough... But yes, you are right, the ultimate best way would be to solder the wires... :)___

Well... everything on my guide lol... All upgrades i suggest are a must to my opinion. Note that most of them are very cheep and home made. More time/Money you spend on bulletproof your truck, more you will save money later... For exemple, if you strap the battery box to the frame with velcro, it cost you 1 $, but protect your 20$ battery box brackets.

The truck on this video use RPM arms... Just look carefully, you can install shock inside as easy as outside.

Hi, I'm running 8 plastic big bores, removed the springs on 4 to keep spring rate stock and 10 or 15wt oil so damping is about the same as stock. It handles about the same as standard but seams unbreakable so far :)

On the HPI website, they say that #86030 (Stock Savage 25 diff) is also the stock part of the Savage 4.6. The BP fit on the 4.6 and you can see that HPI suggest the BP upgrade for that part... So it SHOULD fit, but you should contact HPI to be sure... www.hpiracing.com/en/part/86030?show_disc=true

Warlock rims (stock flux) are very strong and cheap on ebay. Probably the best option. What measurements ?

Should be going probably means that you already run 4s... 4, 5 or 6s does not change anything in the air control. If you drive your truck in 4s and thinking: This truck is too slow... Then go 5 or 6s :) . 5-6s is for junkie like me who can never get enough... 4s is usually enough for 75% or RC users, and those with a low budget for spare parts :) .

How am I supposed to put the shocks on the inside when my rpm arms only allow for front shock placement ?

I know this is an old video, but thought I'd ask anyway. I've been busting front shock ball ends pretty frequently on my flux. I've run my savage X just as hard as my flux and I don't recall ever breaking one on it. I have the plastic big bores on both with the short helper spring/white springs and associated 50w oil in all 4 shocks. The only thing I can think is that my flux has RPM arms and they are twisting more or something. I've busted 7 shock ends in the past 2 months on my flux (I've had it for 2 months). Kind of irritating to have to buy $13-$14 (ebay/shipped) worth of parts just to get 4 shock ends. They all have snapped nearly in in the middle.

Hey Savage, question, what rims are you running with the Terra Pin tires? The stock rims have bent on me a few times, just wondering if there are any better rims to run or just stock up on the stock ones? Thanks ahead of time!

The stock Savage XL rims (Mag-8) that usually comes with the terrapins tires are very bad. Avoid them if you can. Most of them will crack near the wheel nut. Best option is the Stock Savage Flux rims (Warlock). Other can be good, but warlock are extremely common (easy to acquire) and probably the best price/quality option. If you compare them side by side, the Mag-8 has nothing inside the rim to reinforce the side of the rim. Look some picture on web and you will see the difference. Ty for watching!

I dont remember. Personally, i run my trucks on lowest motor timing and never have to check temperature.... I think that the official motor/battery maximum temperature is: Motor 180F and Battery 120F... But this is maximum and you should never get close to that. Look in the instruction manual of the truck and battery to have the correct numbers.

i got an problem with the shocks... if i mount them inside, the push rod will touch the shock... actually i have the standard upper and lower arms on my savage, have the rpm lower arms more space between push rod and shock?

Grant Mills The shocks also touch the upper arms with RPM set, but its not a problem. The bottom plastic part of the shocks may moove, but its rare. Its not perfect, but WAY better then breaking shocks often.

francis scletta BP diff are the best. Savage 25 use old diffs. The new Savages uses Bullet Proof diff. ( HPI 102692 )
