How to Prepare and Tips for Attending A Disability Insurance Medical Exam (IME)

Thank you very much for this video. I’m very nervous for my upcoming appointment, and do hope that I get approved. You’d think cancer is a big enough trigger word, but it’s not cut and dry. I’ll be filing for SSI, as my credits expired before I knew I was eligible for disability.

It's actually insane to me that this is how social security works. I understand people have abused it so it's got to be a certain way. But I should NOT have to be paranoid that I'm being stalked, that I'm being TRICKED into exaggerating my aliments. That's just insane

what if I have my mri already though take to the ime dr, x-rays still at emergency & pain med....So

Is this the same as SSD sending you for an exam ?

Lets say your denied threw work your disability benefits you paid for then at the Social security level your claim is excepted , can you then go back and SUE the company that sold you the Disability insurance threw your work for denial of your claim?

You can certainly sue the disability company for denying your disability claim. However, depending on the length of time since you were denied the statute of limitations may have lapsed, or if you failed to submit an Appeal after being denied they may claim that you failed to exhaust administrative remedies. It is important for you to consult an attorney to ensure that you are still within the statute of limitations to file a lawsuit.

@@DisabilityAttorneys well here is where I'm at . I was on short term disability because, where I worked went from testing at local hospital to 3rd party , so when this happened I had to make my job aware of my prescription medication, at which point they told me I couldn't work there. So they put me on the short term and told me it would roll over to long term , when that was supposed to happen, They denied me and I filled an appeal. They denied me again but I had already filled for an appeal with disability. And hired a lawyer for SSDI. Now I have not won that case yet but my status is on hold due to covid. They want 2nd opinion from another doctor. Which I'm fine with. Got denied the first time because I was unable to get paperwork back in time. But anyways I'm haven't been approved yet this was a hypothetical question. I'd really like to find a wrongful termination lawyer, Pretty sure that the law states they can't use my medication as reason to get rid of me. Unless I can't perform my duties while I'm on them but fact is I couldn't do my duties without them.
