Oh man! Great question! It is VERY hard. Takes some relying on strangers. Normally I can have my neighbor keep an eye on my booth while I run to the restroom. As for food, I bring lots of high protein and healthy snacks that I can each in bites throughout the day. Not ideal, but it works!

If it's a good show I can sell A LOT at a craft show. However, nothing beats steady online sales and wholesale business. That's the more dependable and sustainable business. Craft fairs are fun and I like doing them, but there's so much that's not in my control. Examples - acceptance into shows, weather, customer turn out, etc.

This show is about $600 to vend at. It's expensive for a craft fair, but nothing compared to a trade show (can be $3,000 easy). Renegade is really well attended and I find that it's well worth the booth fee. Other shows are anywhere from $50-$1,000 in the area.

Olivia, not to be rude, but I don't understand why your vintage items do not look old at all? I read that vintage items refer to things made in the 1960's and older. Your "vintage" items definitely look brand new.

Seriously? Says the woman with two subscribers. She is clearly doing something right with her 8.5k subscribers. Take a seat and learn how to be kind, Ms. Draut.
@JenniferBigley
@JenniferBigley 7 жыл бұрын
SDS Norman. Kind? Like your reply? I am not after subscribers but if I were, that comment would be very unkind. I was offering constructive criticism, I was not rude or unkind. Who takes the time to go look at another person's profile and try to slam them? Shesh, get a life. I hope I helped her be consise when making future videos. Two other people liked my reply, so it wasn't just me. At least I don't post with a seemingly made up name/profile. I am not afraid to have my opinions known.
@denisenorman6307
@denisenorman6307 7 жыл бұрын
My name is Denise and I'm not afraid to have my opinions known. This email isn't just mine so they are initials - not a seemingly made up name/profile. Which also means you looked into my profile in your attempt to "slam" me. My message wasn't harsh nor was it slamming you - it was direct. However, my point was, she is clearly doing something others like because they follow her. If you do not like the way she speaks, find someone you relate to better. Constructive criticism would have been something more along the lines of lighting, shakiness or speed of camera movement. Not correcting her nervous tendencies. In addition, to your initial comment, "less talking and more doing" the entire premise of her video was to explain to you how she prepares. She's not giving you a step-by-step tutorial on how to make wire headbands. - Denise
@JenniferBigley
@JenniferBigley 7 жыл бұрын
SDS Norman. 1.) I trust Olivia to handle my comment without being reduced to a puddle of tears. She seems like a strong woman who is capable of not being overly sensitive. Don't expect so little from her. She does not need you to defend her. 2.) My comment was not directed to you, mind your own business. You are not the internet comment police. I hate rude comments that don't offer any feedback. I realize my comment wasn't all sunshine and rainbows, but I did offer it in the vein of helping her and others. 3.) I didn't open your profile at all. You have no picture next to your incomplete name and comment. Posting annonymsly (intended or not) online is considered rude. 4.) My videos are mostly about rescue dogs I am fostering. They are short term to get a dog adopted. I don't want or need subscribers. 5.) Good luck to her and you. This is a waste of valuable time. Moving on.
@denisenorman6307
@denisenorman6307 7 жыл бұрын
It's Denise... as I stated, since you were concerned about my mysterious profile. 1) I'm certain she can handle your comment without being reduced to a puddle of tears. I was not defending her. I was pointing out that your comment was not useful because, unless she takes great care in adjusting her speech pattern, it won't change. Unlike the things I mentioned, like camera movements, that can easily be corrected. 2) It is a public forum so you should expect to have comments, feedback... or criticism. 3) I might not be the internet police but it appears that you are because I had no idea that it was rude to comment without using a picture... since you can't see me I'm rude (I'm still trying to process the logic there). I told you my name so I'm not anonymous - no picture required. 4) I had no idea what your videos were about because I spent all of eight seconds on your profile... I wasn't looking to write an article about you. Kudos on rescuing and fostering dogs. 5) In all sincerity, thank you for your efforts with fostering and keep up the hard but rewarding work. Have a good day Jennifer.
