How to prepare for a round the wold trip on a motorcycle? This is my second video in which I cover topics such as the gear on my bike, motorbike clothing, tools and spare parts, motorcycle's transport, shipment of tires and sponsorship.
In April 2017 I left Australia for a solo trip around the world on a BMW F800GS. I named it “Are We There Yet” because I don't know my final destination or the duration of this journey.

I love so much your adventures. Ten years a go I had a very bad crash. Till now I can't recuperate my mobility/motricity. And could not ride a heavy bike any more. I hope, before I pass away, to ride once more , even if it just a little trip around my country ( Morocco). Wish you the best for your adventures. Ride safe. You surely inspire many peoples to go on adventure. Thank you for sharing with us, what you live during your trips. Sorry for my bad English. ✌🤘

Well done Kinga! I run the C Bow- Hepco Becker system, which I've used on 3 bikes now. Obviously the brackets are unique. I love them for the same reason's as yourself plus you're not overloading the bike & less weight the hard panniers. Mine probably not big enough for your type of travelling though. There were quite a few upgrades to the BMW. I had not upgrades but accessories I needed to add to my Ducati Scrambler to bring it up to spec for any sort of comfortable touring. Previously I had a Himalayan which although a bit heavy for a 411 cc and not overly powerful, in terms of a complete set up which is very useable as is without spending a lot of money on it, they are brilliant. Highly highly underrated. Thanks for sharing your video-

Huge respect, Kinga! I would probably never dare to go to many places you went. Stay safe and healthy. Happy Easter! @21:30 totally agree! An good off-road training on your bike ( the one you are riding ) gives you idea what you and your bike can really do. And what you can't ;). You will be amazed! This will give you knowledge and confidence. You will be less stressed => less tense => you will fall less often. :) Many major motorist associations offer trainings - check in your area.

Another subject you should cover is non-motorcycle clothing and laundry. I use to backpack a lot and that was one subject I find no one covers. My first time I over packed clothing and 3 months later realized I was carrying stuff I still hadn't worn. People should know how little you really need to carry.

At 9:38 Where did you find that gorgeous model? Ahem......At 11:03 those boots! Well worn veterans of the world! Did you know, the young Picasso briefly retuned home. While he rested from the trip, his mother cleaned his sandals for him. When he got up he was outraged over the loss of the dust and evidence of his journey. 😉 This is the best information series on tour prep I’ve seen. Informative, detailed, and fun to watch. You should add the smallest pair of micro grip mini vise grips and a safety link for your chain. Rubber boots for front forks. I did a bit of traveling in the late 1970's, JB Weld epoxy and cable ends with set screw comes in handy too. Never clean sheilds with paper towels....they scratch them. Always replaced my headlight bulbs with off road higher wattage ones. They always state not for highway use, but never had anyone check them.

I'd recommend adding a pair of ViseGrips to your tool kit. They have many uses. Clamp, wire cutter, shift lever, ... If you ever run over the wire left from a burnt tire it will wrap around the axle so tight it will stall the bike. Very difficult to remove. I also carry a metal cutting and wood cutting Sawzall blade and you can use the ViseGrips for a handle.
