Which is better to do, use original skull or resin? Since I've seen skulls of brids who died long ago and I noticed the beak also loses colour, it may be different in this case cause they're not gonna be burried in the dirt but I just wanna know what's best & not make dumb mistakes

There are pros and cons to both..in my situation (lots of repetitive birds) casted ones are cleaner, quicker ... but I still use real skull when I have only one species once in a while. real skulls need to be touched up with some paint as well, otherwise their color will fade over time.

That's so cool how you left the sclerotic rings in there ! How did you clean out the eye gunk while still leaving those intact? And isn't there muscle and gunk behind the eye that needs to be taken out? I've seen people remove the eye completely, clean the sclerotic rings, and put them back in the skull for mounting.

I’ve explained it in the membership zone. Owl eyes are different. The eye socket feels like bone. And you have to leave them in .. it will be much more difficult to set the eyes if you take them out. Other birds don’t have them like that and the whole thing needs to come out.

Im wondering about where you get your supplys or maybe if you do videos on making your own molds. Im very new but very eager to learn. Is this something i could find more in your member zone?

HI David, yes in the membership zone Im posting 3 long videos a week.. usually 30 to 60 min long each and its full tutorial about mounting, tips and tricks, mammals and birds. while I only post one or max 2 time-lapse videos per week for subscribers... Taxidermy courses are around 1000 per day one on one, in person training for one animal only.. here with low monthly fee you get access to all mounts and you can watch and watch them over anr over,, and you get all the questions answered in the comments because only the members can leave comments.
