How To Prepare Zhongli For 1.3! [Genshin Impact]

(READ THE PINNED COMMENT to clear something from the video up) Zhongli is receiving a ton of super strong buffs in 1.3 and on top of that the Geo element is receiving a massive buff as well. 1.3 is right around the corner, so what can you do to properly prepare your Zhongli for 1.3?

Okay, guys. Let me clear something up because apparently the calculations I saw weren't correct. If you want to fully maximize Zhongli's primary attack only, run an atk% timepiece over an HP% one. However if you want to up the damage of Zhongli's entire kit at once, run the HP% timepiece, since you'll be buffing your primary, pillar, resonate effect, ultimate and barrier damage. Your barrier will also be stronger, giving it a higher chance to stay up for the full 12 seconds, meaning you have a higher chance of keeping the 20% resistance debuff to enemies up 100% of the time.

this is also wrong, talent atk% scaling is still better than hp% for damage purpose of resonance/steele/hold damage. Hp% for shield strength will only net you 20 -23% shield increase if you exchange mainstat artifact. You don't really need to do anything for his shield except run retracing bolide on him. The 35% shield strength with the buff of geo shields will automatically bring his shield up to 10k-15k hp.

@@yapk What I said isn't wrong at all. If you want to buff all of those things I listed at once with just one stat, you can run HP, that's not wrong. It's important to remember that the game is full of options and there isn't just one way to do things. Some may value the multiple buffs HP gives over building into more specific buffs. Some may also just have a better HP timepiece than an atk one, or maybe just not have an atk one at all. Really depends on the person.

@@leadformeandmyself 1.4 is the windbloom festival (Mondstadt) Dont expect a liyue character to get released at mondstadt. Hu tao would most likely get released around April 4 cuz of Qingming festival (Festival of the dead) and April 4 is close to April fools, Hu tao is known to be a prankster.

Great video, I'm running a 4 piece noblesse with all stats main catered to hp. Trying to get the 20% increase from the artefact set to combine with the shield buff coming..

@@JayFlare132 sorry to break it to you but you got your math wrong HP% timepiece for DPS Zhongli is a terrible Idea. 46.6% * 15k hp = approx 7k . 1.34% of 7k = approx 100. Which is too low as compared to the % time piece buff. You don't understand how the dmg is calculated in Genshin that why this suggestion

@@JayFlare132 If time piece is atk 46.6% of 750 ( base atk weapon + base Zhongli ) = approx 340 as compared to the 100 buff provided by % HP time piece it's not even close. So don't suggest hp% timepiece for DPS Zhongli

Good video, these are great options for his builds. However, I believe the retracing bolide set will be the best in slot for him. 35% shield strength bonus and 40% normal and charge atk dmg as long as you have shield, which is super easy with his kit. Any thoughts?

@@pipe689 Cool, shield strength wow tanky, and now bonus auto attack multiplier, nice. My Xiangling hits 30% harder with the same set. Zhong's main role is supposed to provide utility, and bolide gives none of that. His biggest damage multiplier comes from his ulti, so using common sense, his best in slot is anything but bolide. Bruh

I imagine it probably would. Most of the things in game stack onto each other if they come from different sources.

For a physical carry attack will still be better than HP. Everything scales off attack, only a low percentage will scale off hp. You should have HP as sub stat only, but I wouldn't put it as a main stat. For sands I would go attack% with crit rate, crit damage, and hp sub stats. For a burst support on the other hand yes HP sands is the way to go because utility is also important along side your damage.

All of my resource spent on him...i mean like....every 4 star spear i have is now lvl 80, except for cresent and blackliff on 90 cuz i actually use it. I tried all artifact build on him. Ult spam, hp, and currently trying dps..the only character i gave crown on talent. Now im running out resource to up other character..do i regret?...naaahh...i need to giVe him moaarr XD

Getting 20 basalt pillars for his final ascension will be tedious, but I guess it'll be worth it. Big Zhong saved my ass many times already, so when he gets the buff he'll be even more useful.

My zhongli now has 27k HP 1650 attack 144% energy recharge 61% crit rate 130% crit damage 90% geo damage I'm only waiting for staff of homa(assuming I'd get it) to further improve my stats.

Well yeah, all of his sources of damage will scale with the amount of HP he has. So the more HP you have the more damage you'll do.

The buff is good for Zhongli but plz don't advice people to build hp% time piece do your math based on the clip showed by Mihoyo you will understand how terrible your suggestion is for DPS Zhongli
