Amazing pointer. Overlap is important I had no idea. Left and right overlap which means taking another lap over one more time so all bubbles are gone and pressing it hard not soft otherwise you’ll have bubble city and not using just hands because that’s a disaster for bubble city. Thank you for this! I've been practicing on some parts before I wrap my motorcycle in a couple weeks, and it can be frustrating not knowing what is going wrong with the vinyl laying. So thanks!

I’m getting tons of tiny bubbles. And they don’t want to go away. Pressure, heat, heat & pressure, they are very stubborn 😂. What would be your first suggestion? Great video btw, really cool idea to use the glass, smart

@@erikrummel6277 check your squeegee. Either that or it’s pressure so work on evening out your finger position so it’s flat.

Nice tutorial would it apply to larger pieces of applying vinyl? Would you suggest a soft or hard squeegee?

Yes, all vinyl application. I use the soft side more often, but getting in corners or edges I use the hard side too

What about sun bubbles? I did a pretty good job with squeegee, post heat etc. The recessed areas are terrible now. And I already reinstalled trim pieces and no more material lol

I'm sorry you're dealing with that man. Is it possible the vinyl was overstretched? Most vinyl can only be stretched about 15% before it starts to discolor and/or lose its integrity

@@tesbros I don't think I overstretched the recessed areas. My very first panel, yes. But after, I started to lay into those areas without heat. The sun destroyed those same areas lol

Hmm, I see. The only thing I can think of (without seeing it) is that you didn't post heat enough. All vinyl has a set temp for post heating - like 3M is 85 C/185 F. So if it wasn't hot enough, bubbles can definitely happen. If you want to send photos to submissions@tesbros.com, I'll take a look at it and see if I can help you recover it
