He made it btw actually costs more than vs just buying the actual manga. I guess the benefits is that you can have a huge ass bulk. Though you can actually make it x2 cheaper than what he did by using cheaper products. Like the paper, The printer + ink. also what he said doing it 200+ pages or at least half a volume is much more worth in case of mistakes.

the trick is modding printers to the point that they don't do bullsh1t like that. I had to learn how to physically alter printers to make them do actual job. Cuz whadya know? Printer manufacturers PHYSICALLY limits their printers so that they can sell over 100 version that does the exact same thing which is print. Like it's insane. They also make you spend more on ink when in the first place all colors for inks are the same but their branding costs x8 more than just a no brand ink which has the same properties.

I'm pretty sure that blue clamp isn't used to hold the paper down but instead used for the A5 guidline itself, so you place it on the A5 line and slide paper from the other side to cut it same size each time.

^This is 100% the correct way. Doing multiple prints and doing double sided is not ideal and would insantly cause a jam due to the ink not drying enough. Unless you install a UV light right out of the printer lol. Doing this method would make it faster and avoid misprint or reduce A SHIT TON OF INK.

I see many commenters don't know about epson eco tank printers (that's what the ET stand for). You can buy bottles of ink for a few bucks and they last a long time. You can even use off brand ink. The included bottles will also last you a few hundred prints. His printer is a more expensive model so if you're not investing in a printer for other stuff, just buy the manga. But otherwise the ink price is peanuts.
@marclenraymagdaraog691
@marclenraymagdaraog691 21 күн бұрын
That's true. Ecotank isn't also because of that. It's because Ecotanks have Waste ink containers, which removes the reason for having a replaceable cartridges. That way you can use the printer as much as you want with the caveat of cleaning the waste ink container a few months or so., to avoid clogs or spillage.

In my fifth try i made it right but i wont be doing it again. I dont have much patience and i just kicked my printer last time. If i did it again i will be kicked out of home. manually aligning when cutting seems to be a huge issue. isn't it easier to use something to create a "wall" exactly the length you want to cut (like using that magnet)? that way all you have to do is push the paper to the wall and don't have to worry about the A5 line every single time.

@AnimeNyan
@AnimeNyan 4 ай бұрын
Now I've bought a bulk cutter which was one of the slowest parts of the process cutting the pages. So I can cut 200 pages at once probably 3 hours for one huge manga volume 500 a5 pages. The longest part is waiting for the pages to all print and reprinting the bad prints which takes a long time which I just do something else while it prints. I usually do two at a time would probably take me around 4 hours because then I can glue two together side by side and in the morning the pvc is dried for both. I won't pretend it's super fast, it isn't and I'm sure you could do it faster, but it's way cheaper than buying the volumes and I know it'll be right there after I print it rather than not knowing when it'll deliver.
