Worked for my 2014 Chevy impala.Ordered uncut key and fob from Amazon for about 20bucks.Already had a key bit a transponder key that sets off alarm when I unlock door wit the key and open the door.Pain in the ass...So I took my uncut key and fob to Chevy dealer.They cut the key for 15bucks.Took like 15mins...Told me how to program the key which I already knew...But it was nice of them... SO put my old key in ignition to on position until dinging stops.Turn off take out old key put new key in and do the same thing...Screen will show 2keys programmed.Then u good...Turn off,key out...Go out of car,close the door and try your fob...Worked perfect for me...Thanks for all the info...

Dude, this video rocks. Daughter bought a new key fob for her Sonic, able to take the cut key from old fob and install in new fob, had a second key available to start the car, followed your direction, worked like a charm with the new fob. Outstanding!!!!

This worked perfectly for me. Locksmith charged $45 each to cut the keys (x2), but wanted $95 each -- to program both of them. It took about 1 minute to program both keys, and saved $100 total. (Note: if you are the daring sort, you can try to swap out the laser-cut keys too, and save yourself even more!)

Dude you are a life saver!. Both my keys randomly stop working last week. My brother works at a BMW dealer ship I told him about the issue &, he had his buddie, who's dad owns a Chevrolet dealership just make me another copy. Until I could get to the Chevy dealership Went to Chevy yesterday. I guess they rebooted the main keyphob remote & that did work. However, today when I tested the 2nd key it still wasn't working..... Pep boys in VA just QUOTED me $250 to program the key only! That did not include cutting the key! Battery n Bulbs cut the key for $10 but wanted to charge $85 to program it! Took your advice and programmed it in 5mins for FREE! Paid $25 on Amazon for the fob! Remote start and everything works like a charm! THANK YOU

Kirk, thank you so much. I just followed your instructions and it worked perfectly on a 2013 Chevy Equinox. The lock button on one of my key fobs went bad. I bought a new key fob for about $15, moved the old key to the new key fob and your programming tip made it all work. Thanks again...:)

worked for my 2012 Gmc Terrain. Key was $62 at dealer parts counter which included the cutting. Key shops wanted $40 for the cut. Dealer said $119 for the programming. Just followed these instruction and bang it was done.

Just wanted to say thank you , damn dealership wanted to charge me $150 because I only had one key working. They said they had to install some software and all this bs even though I mentioned I had one of my keys. I did it and it worked so thank you !!

Thank You, bought a key fob from eBay for my 2012 Camaro and it worked. Saved me a lot of money. All I did was switch the key blade from my old key after i had started the car up and then quickly switched it to my new key fob and started the car like the video shows and it worked!!!! Thanks a lot

2013 Chevy Sonic... Bought car used as a repo only had aftermarket transponder keys for it. No fob!!. Went to dealership they said since I only had that type of key I would have to have a service call done and that is 90 an hour. Parts guy who cut key said let's try it... Worked perfectly... Don't know if got lucky or if someone was trying to get more money out of me.

That's is my favorite part to do is programming key fobs for chevy equinox and that's awesome part for me have good day.

If all keys are lost, I've used the three ten minute cycles without a pin code and this does work. You have to have a strong charged battery to go three cycles of ten. Some cars have taken 11 minutes and thirty seconds, per cycle, Use the padlock icon to better time things. 😋

I have a Camaro and they all have some issue with the keys. So I didn't loose, replace my key, I have 2 already programed keys 1 spare/ other obvious. However the actual remote has seen better days so I have a newl one. problem is it wont unlock/lock my doors. how/what or where can I find some info as to how to set it up. I also have the idea the remote might be wrong one IDK (need to prove it 1st) . Anything you can do to help is appreciated. Thank you for your help
