Nice Bonsai! Inspiring to see a scots pine as a bonsai, I have a 6 year old rescued scots pine, hopefully it will become something like this onee. Good to see pruning the candles doesn't harm them.

David, can you do a video on sharpening tools? You sharpened your shears so quickly and I would love to know what tool you used to accomplish that! Definitely a dearth of tool sharpening info on KZfaq. Many thanks!

My other hobby is knives and there's a ton of material out there if you look up knife sharpening. The same ideas apply to all tools for the most part. But with scissors it's important to only sharpen the one side the side that's beveled. Don't sharpen the flat side or insides of the blades.

You can reliably get a second flush out of a Scot's pine?

Never heard of that. Scots pine has always been known as a single flush.

First sterilizes his tool using TSP. Then, immediately puts his scissors into a bottle of very brown water.
