Watching this is very helpful. I'm just now starting to pull the engine/trans from a 650 I picked up with a knock.

It’s a bit time consuming, but the overall process is very straight forward! He had blown his transmission up helping me out of a hole. Put a tooth straight through the casing

Im currently in the process of pulling the engine out of my 800 outlander. This thing sucks to work on . How do you get the drive shafts off? Move the diffs?

Do you have to take out the motor to take off the transmission

Yes. The way it’s tucked into the frame, I don’t see absolutely any other way to do it. It would be very tight to even get the bolts connecting the two. And I don’t think you could squeeze the tranny through the rear of the frame
