This video is a response to a question from a student, and it's not the kind of thing that's very easy to explain in writing so I thought I'd make a quick video to show how you can put on a lobster claw bracelet using only one hand.
If you're not used to wearing bracelets with lobster claw clasps, you might find it a bit difficult, but there is definitely a trick to it :)

This is the way I've always put on my bracelets that have clasps, except I let the o-ring dangle over my wrist from the top. :)

I have a bayonet clasp bracelet and it is SO difficult to close on your own. I just can't seem to do it.

I can't do mine at all even by adding 2 gold loops. I've heard of a clasp that's like a watch locking clasp. Do you know the name of it

I assume you don't mean the buckle type, so the only others I know of are the butterfly clasp and the deployant clasp. I hope that helps, thanks for stopping by!

I hold the bracelet steady with piece cellotape

If you wear short bracelets like me just take a piece of strong tape and tape the end without the clasp to your wrist and use your other hand to open the clasp and catch it. It’s the same principle, just a different way of holding down the bracelet so it doesn’t move around on you

Great suggestion! I know some people are sensitive to adhesives so that might be something to consider...but hopefully such a quick exposure wouldn't cause any issues (bandaids make me CRAZY itchy, and they're made to go on the skin so I'm hesitant to try 😫) Thanks for checking out the video!
