Not to be weird, but I would kiss you and take you to dinner for saving my SANITY. I've been in a losing battle with some beads, I've tried ALL my tricks...and nothing. The superglue hack worked like magic. Omg. I...got superglue ..everywhere, but! The cord slid in no problem, and I do not care I got glue on my favorite shirt. I've been all day fighting with the cord and these beads, but fam. You saved my sanity. Omg, you're literally brilliant. Thank you SO MUCH!!!!! 😂❤❤❤❤

Hi! I think it is slightly different for each brand / manufacturer but generally size 11/0 seed beads are about 2-2.5mm

Do you have any recommendations for a vegan alternative to beeswax? Ive seen coconut oil online being recommended
@JewelryTutorialHQ19 күн бұрын
I haven't tried it, but soy wax could work! I'd say that would be a better option that coconut oil for this application.

@@JewelryTutorialHQ I see. Okay, thank you. I've seen some waxed hemp at Michael's but didn't get it because I wasn't sure if it was bees wax.

Why waste ketchup when all you need is the vinegar and salt? Using ketchup is very wasteful.
@JewelryTutorialHQАй бұрын
I had a bad experience with vinegar - it left an ugly matte salmon pink patina on some brass that was very hard to remove. I have never had that issue with ketchup. Ketchup also has malic and citric acid from the tomatoes, in addition to vinegar and salt, which seems to be a winning combination without being too harsh. And I hate the smell of vinegar, ha! That said, I could have used much less ketchup for the video but I ended up using it again for a few more batches of casings after I stopped filming. Also wanted to add that you can apply ketchup as a spot treatment without having to submerge an entire piece in vinegar - for example some vintage brass doorknobs that I didn't even have to take off the door! People have also had success cleaning instruments and other large objects this way. But yes, there are many ways to achieve the same result. This is my preference. Thanks for your comment!

You said you should start with 8 1/2 yards of t-shirt yarn or app. 102 inches? Shouldn't it be 8 1/2 feet. That would equal 102 inches.

Thank you Jessica! Instead of me buying new kitchen cabinet hinges I'm going to try your ketchup cleaning idea. My hinges are not real brass but some type of imitation and they tarnished over time but I think they will clean nicely with your ketchup idea. Thank you so very much for making this video.

Ketchan has vinegar that is why it works,
@JewelryTutorialHQАй бұрын
True! But it doesn't smell like vinegar 😜. It also has malic and citric acid from the tomatoes which seems to boost the cleaning effect without being too harsh like undiluted vinegar.
