How to quilt using Curved Rulers with a Long Arm

This video shows a collection of curved rulers, how to select the correct curve for your quilt as well as how to hold the ruler when quilting. if you have any questions about the rulers shown, please ask in the comments section and I will be happy to help. I am using my Gammill Long Arm and the regulated stitch mode.

I'm actually, as I'm watching this, quilting a "cheater" DWR quilt top and also figured out to do stitch in the ditch with large curves. So glad I found this video thanks for making it !

Your quilting complements the double wedding ring beautifully. It really brings out the pattern. Very well done. I saw a gorgeous antique Applique quilt the other day that had been machine quilted to death. All the lovingly hand stitched pieces were lost in all the heavy over the top quilting. So sad 😞. Thank you for taking the time to explain and demo these rulers. Very helpful!

What a beautiful old top. Your quilting is perfect for it. You need to do more tutorials!!! My quilting has improved over the years from that first class I took from you. I still have a lot to learn but I can't tell you how much enjoyment quilting gives me.Thank you for the time you take to teach.

I am a longarmer (digitized) just getting into ruler work. How do I determine which curved rulers I should buy initially? They are very expensive and to start I don't want to invest a ton of $$. TY for all your help, love your videos.

Yes! Longarm rulers can be quite an investment. My two favorite rulers are Linda Hyrcka's 10-inch curve and 12 inch straight. If I could only have two it would be those two. You can find them at thequiltedpineapple.com

Your quilting is beautiful. Just discovered your channel. Do you ever have trouble free motion quilting with the ruler base on? I find that there’s a lot of drag on mine.
