Richard walks through how to pair a Honeywell CM927 Wireless Room Thermostat to a BDR91 Wireless Relay Box. The same pairing procedure works with both CM921 and CMS927. The BDR91 pairing procedure is the same when using a R8810A1018 OpenTherm Bridge or HC60NG/R8888 Wireless Relay Box instead of a BDR91.

I could kiss you right now, my relay box by boiler wasn't reading the controller after a power outage here a few months ago. I talked to technical support on my phone and he was adamant I needed a new clock that would cost £243 with call out. Seen your video and tried binding it again myself and it kicked in so thankyou for your video you saved me £243 🎉

Thank so Much Richard You have saved us SO much stress and anxiety over the holidays after reading so many confusing manuals your trouble shooting and rebinding VT was explained so straight forwards and we did it first time. For a day our heatingg was constantly on costing us money. not only this the only control we had was to manually push the BDR on and off every 20 mins, so you could say we were the human thermostat!!! Thanks again you have been the best. A huge thumbs up! and of course subscribe

I’ve the full Honeywell home TRV system and it’s brilliant. It’s way better than the old dum TRVs and streets ahead of the opposition. I’m so pleased with ours that when my friend and neighbour saw it he got me to fit the system in his house too.

We really like the Honeywell Home evohome system and selling them via The EVOHOME Shop was how we started our business! We’ve had some great results when using the evohome system with OpenTherm boilers (such as Intergas), with customers saving double digits on their energy bills! We will need really good control systems going forwards, to reduce energy wastage!

I have a HC60ng receiver with a CM67 thermostat. I want to change thermostat with the one in your video. Can I do this with following the instructions in your video?

The CM927 is compatible with a HC60NG but the CM927 has been discontinued for many years now. If you can find one, the binding sequence is exactly the same on the HC60NG.

My box next to the boiler is blinking red and keeps trying to turn the boiler on and off, do you think this is a pairing issue? I have a CM927 😊

Hi the controller CM927 is not working properly, and the screen is so faint one can barely read the screen The batteries have been changed just so you know any advise would be appreciated thanks

Hi there! Congrats on the video, I just have one question. My unit starts working straight away when I press either Manual or Auto, even when it's not the right time (ie. Set timers for 18:00 and 21:30 for 17C and it's 20:14 and it will run straight away even on Auto mode) any suggestions? Thanks!

Did it work ok previously? If you perform a factory reset in the installer menu followed by removing the batteries for two minutes and try again, it might solve it?

If my cm927 is not working correctly and I replace with another cm927 controller Will the replacement pair without disconnecting the original controller

It will but make sure you remove the batteries of of the old CM927 so it doesn't interfere with the new thermostat.

Thanks a lot for your video. The display on my C927 stopped working and I couldn't find a new one online (apart from one on Amazon for £400!). So I bought ST9400C instead as it looked almost the same. My question is: can I pair it with my old receiver (the rectangular one)? Thanks in advance.

The ST9400C is not compatible and is a mains powered product. The closest replacement is the Pro Series Wireless Programmable Thermostat here - theintergasshop.co.uk/home/99-cms927-7-day-wireless-programmable-room-thermostat-cms927b1049.html

I have a question, when I press the button on the relay box there is no flashing light at all its just dead...any idea if this is fixable or do we need a new relay box? thanks

@@MWPHS Is the Honeywell Home T4R compatible with the BDR1 wireless relay box. The Display on our CM927 is broken and been painfully copying on/off for the past couple of years - Would you suggest just replacing the until with a Pro Series or consider a house upgrade to the Home TRV SYstem?

@@BethanWilliams-sb6vu the only ‘replacement’ for a faulty CM927 that has an existing BDR91 is the Pro Series Programmable Thermostat. The T4R uses Ramses 3 protocol with a different relay/receiver (so not compatible with BDR91), and you have to install the relay box supplied with it. evohome is a really nice system, but obviously much more expensive.

I have two zones in the house, each controlled by its own CM927. One CM927 has failed - what should I buy to replace it, and how do I pair it to the correct zone?

If you have two CM927 then you should have two wireless relay boxes. You simply pair the Pro Series to the correct wireless relay box. If you have a very old CM927, then you may find you have a HC60NG (rectangular) wireless relay box instead of a BDR91. The Pro Series will only pair to a BDR91, so in this case the HC60NG would have to be replaced. Links for purchasing the items are in the video description.

My C927 display wasn't working properly. I managed to fix it last night and the screen now displays but it's showing as internal error. I reset the pairing as per your video in the hope it might help but the internal error is still there. What do I need to do to fix it? Thanks.

Might not be possible to fix. Sounds like you need to invest in a replacement unfortunately.

I have the CM927. Screen visible but there is no response to button pushes. Unit will not respond to the reset routine. any guidance would be apricated. Regards.

Sounds like the unit has failed? I'm assuming you have removed the batteries for a couple of minutes and then put them back in? The CM927 is no longer manufactured but we sell an alternative here that will pair into the existing relay box, just as long as it is a BDR91 - theintergasshop.co.uk/home/99-cms927-7-day-wireless-programmable-room-thermostat-cms927b1049.html

Hi, I've just bound the controller bu the green light on the receiver unit turns green then clicks off right away, does this mean there is a problem as the heating doesn't appear to turn on

If you have followed the video and still think you have problems, give tech support a call on 0300 130 1299 option 3 and they can support.

Hi Richard, I've followed your instructions and re-binding appears to be successful. My CM927 will sometime override the programmes on manual setting and sometimes won't. I've reprogrammed the days with dates and times and still can't seem to override it - any ideas?

The programming of these older thermostat (even with line of text) was still complex. The slider on the side also sometimes plays up as they get older, so just ensure this in in place correctly. Alternatively you could swap the thermostat to the pro series thermostat if you have a BDR91 - theintergasshop.co.uk/home/99-cms927-7-day-wireless-programmable-room-thermostat-cms927b1049.html

hi there, I have a ST9400C programming unit, and I am trying to replace my old hcw80 wireless thermostat and receiver, with a newer DT90e in the old receiver have a 5 wiring which are (Blue wired in N, then the brown wired in the L (2nd) then I have a black wire which wired in to A, then a grey wired into B and then the earth wired into the E, , do I follow the same with the new receiver dt90e ? if so where do I connect the earth as on the new dt90e there is no E (mark) only C, in the new receiver dt90e I have a NLL then ABC , any advice? thanks

That's a BDR91 thermostat! Not like the one that your sister company MWPHS sent me!! Now, after sending it back, you refused to refund me claiming it was damaged!! My engineer only tried to connect to the Honeywell thermostats and didn't install it on the wall! Even Honeywell didn't recognise the model of the receiver you sent me when we called them to try to fix the issue. The worst is that I'm sure Waseem believed his own lies!! Your company shouldn't be ashamed!!

The BDR91 is manufactured in many different shapes under many different product codes, so they won't always look like the one in this video. Essentially they all do have the same PCB, so do work exactly the same as in this video. If you have a look at the video we did 9 months ago (kzfaq.info/get/bejne/qpN2m7KorL2bf6s.htmlsi=xBGuYJCwbxrz4bQO), both the BDR91 and the DT2 wireless relay box (which is essentially a BDR91 with a different plastic fascia) are fully compatible with all Ramses 2 Honeywell thermostats. The DT2 wireless relay box supplied on MWPHS (mwphs.co.uk/product/wireless-relay-box-bdr91-replacement-replaces-all-pre-2021-honeywell-bdr91/) is fully compatible with all Ramses 2 thermostats? @@MWPHS Hi Richard, sorry if I can't call, but as mentioned to Waseem, I can only send emails when I'm at work. I ordered two BDR91, one from Amazon and one from you. Both are to connect with a DT4 thermostat. The one I bought from Amazon connected straight away to my DT4, the one I ordered from you didn't connect. We didn't install it, no screws, nothing. We did nothing to that receiver apart from trying to connect to the thermostat. I didn't check the receiver when I received it but I only noticed that it was in a bubble wrap rather than in its box like the one I received from Amazon. Waseem said that the box had been destroyed in transit... It's only when my engineer came to install everything that he noticed the difference between the two receivers. You claim that they are the same, they are not or yours is faulty...Waseem or your company keep saying you sent the right receiver but you didn't and that the receiver was damaged or in used condition. If it was damaged, ( I saw the pictures and unless, you look for it, you wouldn't noticed), it wasn't by us! I paid for a delivery postage, a return postage and a receiver that it's either the wrong one or is not working and you're refusing for a refund. As I said, next time, I'll go to Amazon, much easier and they don't blame the customer for things they haven't done.

I have physically seen the wireless relay box you returned with my own eyes and I don’t think I have seen many items returned to us in such poor condition? It is completely unsaleable. It is now not about the money, it’s about the fact we are being call liars and scammers when we have refused to refund an item that has been returned in unsaleable condition. We are not Amazon, we are a small family owned heating supplier who has been running for 10 years. Some of our items are bought direct from the manufacturer as an OEM replacement. All the wireless relay boxes we supply are checked/picked to order by our warehouseman (who is called Nick, been with us 7 years and religiously checks all items before dispatch) and they are packed in electrostatic packaging to protect them from physical and electromagnetic damage. When I get into work tomorrow I will get the DT4R I use for my KZfaq videos and test the wireless relay box you have sent back for operation, however the reason you have given for return was that it wasn’t a BDR91. So is the reason for return that the item is faulty? If that is the case that wasn’t clear from the returns paperwork or discussion I had with Waseem?
