Prayer helps. One morning offering, at least two rosaries, maybe a divine mercy chaplet at 3 PM. Night prayer. Plenty of great prayer options to bring us closer to God.

God spoke to me. He said if we surrender and give our problems to Him and trust Him, He Himself will solve our problems the right way in His time and way. But if we try to solve our problem on our own way, it will not be solved but will get worse and more complicated instead. God knows best.

Also, when we give and surrender our life to God and allow Him to direct our life according to His will, our life will be fixed little by little and will be heading to the right direction. God knows best. But we need 3 things to do so that God can solve our problems and direct our lives according to His will. 1) we need to be repentant of our sins 2) we must renounce our own will to seek and do only His will for us. 3) we must have trust in Him

One of the most difficult trials or tests of faith from God that we will face when we give and surrender our problems to Him is when we surrender our problems to God, at first, our problem will seem to get even worse. This is what I have been experiencing. The more I give and surrender my life and problems to God, the more my problems seem to worsen. But my faith and trust in God remains. In the end, some of my most difficult problems have been resolved the right way so I was right for surrendering my problems to God and trusting Him. I passed the tests of faith of God for me. My trials have only increased and strengthened my faith in God. Praise be to God! I still have many unsolved difficult problems but I will continue to have faith in God and trust Him. I can do this only by His grace. Praise God!

This is the way of God. At first, His way and will for us is difficult, unclear, uncertain .... but in the end or at the end of the road, if we persevere in treading His difficult path, we will find His way correct, clear, certain and good for us. This is the way of man or our own way. At first, our own will or way is good, easy, clear and certain for us ..... but at the end of the road of our own way, we will find our own path unclear, uncertain, tragic, miserable or bad for us.

Choose always God's way/will for you .... not your own way/will. God's way/will for us seems like hell or bad for us, difficult, unclear and uncertain in the beginning ..... but its end is heaven or it will make us happy, peaceful, fulfilled. His path is safe. Our own way/will seems like heaven at first. It is good, easy, clear, certain at first ..... but its end is hell, misery, sorrow, perdition. Our own path is unsafe.

. I remember one Time When I was a calvinist. I invited a pentecostal friend of mine to pray the Our Father together. And he replied laughing. "You are so old school we don't do that anymore" and then he started to "pray" in tongues. Gibberish.

Many parents I have encountered say, “I will not force religion on my children”. I reply: “But faith is a discipline that should be learned from an early age. Say your child is now 16 and failed high school, because you never bothered to help your child with homework or bring in a tutor to help the child with English or mathematics? It is your parental responsibility to expose your children to the discipline of faith just as much as education.” If these children fail in life, they only have their parents to blame.

I have a question--and if anyone could answer this, that would be lovely. I have been doing research on understanding the word "Betrothal" as it is now what I originally thought it meant. Unlike our modern day engagements, Mary and Joseph were actually seen as married but not living together. Joseph would have had to make a home for them in 12 months. My question is, what would happen if for whatever reason, this took longer? Say due to work related issues or even a severe injury? Please and thank you. God bless you all.

Hi I'm new at becoming a Christian and I was just wondering why the Catholic Church has 10 different commandments than what the Jewish commandments were and the protestants? God bless.
@CatholicTruthOfficial
@CatholicTruthOfficial Жыл бұрын
Thank you for the comment. The Catholic Church did not change the second commandment. The Protestants did. The list of commandments that the Catholic Church uses is the same list that was used by the earliest Christian. Protestants change that list over 1,100 years later. Second, the Bible wasn't written with chapters and verses. It was just one long block of writing. So wild Jews, Catholics, and Protestants all have the same Commandments, we just number them and group them differently. Protestants decided to separate the first commandment into two Commandments. The first commandment is not to have any false gods, and that includes making idols and worshipping them. It's all the same thing. But they for some reason split it up that way. And they combined to the two different coveting Commandments. But again, we I'll have the same Ten Commandments. Are we group them differently. Catholics believe the Commandment not to worship idols. It's just not a separate commandment but part of the first one. The Jews do it that way too. We don't know why the protestants decided to split the commandment after 3000 years.

You know you say the same word over and over to the point where it doesn't sound like word anymore. That's what I feel like saying the same prayers is like, if you say it enough times; it eventually loses meaning.

It can if you were just doing it routinely without thinking about what you're saying or who you are praying to. In those cases, it's good to mix up the type of prayer you do, and change in other typed of prayers, perhaps where you can focus more and offer your heart to God more so through it. If you always pray a divine mercy chaplet and you are not getting anything out of it, for example, then maybe try literally of the hours, Or reading the Bible and reflecting on it. No skipping Mass, of course. ;)

Structured prayers are just the scaffold for skeleton of faith. We can then build on these truths with our own heartfelt words. Often more effective prayer is just silence, where you just sit in God’s presence and listen.

@CatholicTruthOfficial Жыл бұрын
We do pray to God directly. Over the last 20 years, I have prayed to God for an hour before even leaving the house in the morning. But don't you ask friends and family to pray for you? We do too. And we also ask Mary and the saints to pray for us to Jesus spirit we don't need to ask anyone to pray for us, but The Bible says it's good and pleasing to God and intercessory prayer is biblical. Friends or family, Mary or the saints, they all go to Jesus on our behalf. Does that make sense?

@@av801a I understand your problem because you are just new to the Catholic Faith. To find solution to your problem, I suggest you read the writings of the catholic saints about praying and devotion to Mary like books True Devotion to Mary, The Secret of Mary and The Secret of the Rosary by St. Louis de Montfort, the Glories of Mary by St. Alphonsus de Liguori etc and you will understand little by little why catholics are so devoted to Mary and pray to her. @@CatholicTruthOfficialIt does, but then I have read from Daniel 12:2Every one who is found written in the book. And many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, Some to everlasting life, Some to shame and everlasting contempt. Reading that it sounds like we are asleep in the grave until Jesus comes back. Do we go straight to heaven or hell, or do we rest in the grave until the resurrection? Again thank you for the help. God bless.

Prove it. Prove that December 25th boys chosen to please the pagan's. Where does a Pope say that? Where does the Catholic Church say that? Where does any official document say that? It doesn't. If you read the earliest christians, they chose December 25th because they thought that was the day that Jesus was born, nothing to do with paganism.

@@Theunspokentruth77 almost all Christians do this that's not just a Catholic thing. Christmas is 100% Biblical, if it wasnt then why did the 3 wise men give gifts to Jesus? What's wrong with celebrating the birth of our messiah? Why is still practiced by even the most religious and knowing about Christianity. Your ignorance is drowning your heart and besides, even if the Bible were to never say about this historical moment, what's so wrong about celebrating the birth of the greatest person to ever set foot on this earth. There is nothing pagan about Christmas and I would love to hear your counter argument to this matter.
