Thanks for taking the time to make this. I’m brand new to paragliding (starting next week 🤞🏻) so a while away from using this info on my own, but it shows me the basic understanding and points me in the direction of what I need to study. Thanks from 🇬🇧

Welcome to the sport :) It is still naice for u to se that the air is not too unstable. It can cause strong condition. If you are new I advise you to check out my video to much wind for paragliding. This apply especially if you fly in the mountains. For costal soring you can allow some more vind.

Thanks. There is a simpler sounding, you don't need the plugin, just right click and select sounding.

Yeah that's true. But you won't get the green line indicating thermals :)

Thanks for the explanation, i too have struggled with the sounding info. in Summary if the green line is to the right of the red line its stable and no thermals?

Yeah the thin green right. The fat green you get when using the plug in is thermal:)

Video is very informative ...i am learning paragliding.. these days i am up to fly in Karakuram mountain range . I am trying to find videos about valley wind behaviour but so far havnt find anything useful.

@JoarABTheflyingraven i have been flying since 5 years now but still learning ! I am from Pakistan we have beautiful mountain ranges to fly. They are beautiful but dangerous at the same time

now.... inversion... anytime the red/temperature line makes a turn to the right before gradually going left/down again... right

Yeah. Quite often you will see the wind be stronger at the point of inversion. The bar to the right.

@@JoarABTheflyingraven thats interesting! of course.. or in a valley the wind beneath the inversion is stronger/trapped due to venturi effect.. the sounding plugin shows this nicely.. very happy! tx
