A few months ago, Good Trouble got together to record a new single. Here's our process from start to finish, figuring out the arrangement, solos, and overdubs for the record. We've been playing this one live for a while now, so we we're all really excited to put it to tape and be able to share it with everyone.

Don't get me wrong but why are you guys playing with a click track? I don't think your music needs that. The music you're making is 100 % feeling so why bother with the click and instead make it a bit more natural?

QUESTION: Why record to a click when you are recording a live performance? Seems to be wasting an avenue for dynamics (time fluctuation) that can only be well done on a live performance? Like: if you are going thorugh the hassle of micing a whole band why even put a click? Why not just let the band speed up or slow down based on each others performance? Like, I can understand for like, metal or math rock but not this

2nd to last step: Fall in love with your creation, convinced it's a hit, you convince yourself people will say it's the best thing they heard since the 70's, get jazzed! Final Step: Fall into deep depression as nothing happens, your sonic masterpiece is completely irrelevant.
