Unbelievable, I tried since yesterday everything under the sun, even asked an IT guy, no results. And You, my friend, the first option you offered, by running Command Prompt and do the chkdsk fixed the flash drive in minutes. No data loss, the drive is back to normal and accessible like nothing ever happened. I am actually still speechless... Thank you very much.

To muhammadlilg: Thank you for your valuable help. With chkdsk /r it took about 3 hours for my ext. disc Apacer 1TB (which otherwise was completely preserved and without bumps or falls) to fully recover. My advice to everyone: DO NOT interrupt commands to copy the huge amount of data you have already given - by no means! Thanks again!

bro thanks for ur help but whats my problem is sometimes my disk opens and it shows the memory it occupied and it shows the folders inside the disk but when i check the properties its not showing the memory at all, its showing like 0 bytes. by the way the two softwares u suggested not working. finally thanks for the reply

+muhammadlilg Can you help me with something? So after I formatted the disk and recovered all my lost files were am I suppose to put them? Because its telling me that I cannot put them back on the same usb stick or it won't recover properly.

Well you will need to put them in another drive. If you dont have another drive then what you can do is to save the files on another computer. You will need to share a folder from the other computer and access it on the computer your recovering the files on, then try to recover the files to the other computers shared folder. Hope that helps.

Brother you just saved my life. My 2TB external hardisk which I'm using after a month showed this error. I was so anxious coz I was about to loose almost 2tb data it includes my college pictures, old mobile data, and most importantly lectures which I have stored for an exam preparation. after going crazy finding for the right recovery software to help me recover one terabyte of memory, i finally came across this video tutorial. How come you did not mention that it asks you to pay before you can recover files? This software displays lost files for free, but recovering it needs money.

@@mckinzie4934 If you format it they'll be lost. I think. I didn't want to format it before doing this because it scared me. However doing this my files are pretty dameged but I think it's because my drive could have been having a virus.

You can use the e a s e us software linked in the description to try your luck but at times some videos that may get recovered can become corrupted due to how a file is stored fragmented on a drive. Still you never know.
