Damn I started with Prime never drove a Peterbuilt however. But Prime has a reputation of being the how to company for trucking. Extremely resourceful company. They hire the right people who always want to help and inform. Welp….I was definitely in stage 3 of this regen notification. Yikes I would’ve had a very bad day had I not pulled over on the side of the off ramp and went to KZfaq. I do not regret starting with Prime and thanks again to even still be resourceful til this day.

Great video about the Peterbilts but maybe they can upgrade the trucks to do a Regen while driving on the highway, still a great video to learn from... I'd like to see a video on what speeds to set cruise to save fuel. I'll need this for future references, around the 30th 😉👍

Why don't they make the damned thing so you can do a Regen when it's convenient for you! Just because the light isn't on doesn't mean soot levels aren't above normal. We sit for 10+ and have the time then to stay ahead of the soot levels! Is there some valid reason we can't? If it's the temp requirement then it could simply initiate the Regen and disengage the fan until the required temp 185f is reached!!

You forgot the 1st step where the engine has to be on to start the process.

I’ve got a 2012 Pete 388 that someone screwed up the regen on it runs but it’s become the most gutless semi in our fleet you’ve got to fight to get it up to 65-70. Even though it isn’t my truck I’ve been trying to find ways to save that truck from derating. I’d rather drive that than my Mack if I can get it back to running strong again

The regen lite should not be required. Drivers should have the ability to perform on their own.

Will having the engine brake on affect the automatic regen from taking place while driving?

Do you need to shut the truck off then restart it to perform the parked regen or can it be done without shutting the truck off first.
