that fragile capricorn Its the same principal but there are more pieces that connect the body so they tend to break. You just have to work it and be gentle. Just to note, I took it apart but it broke for me too

Thanks! When I made this I knew the owner of a small photo shop, so it wasn't hard at all to just ask for some. I'm guessing most places wouldn't mind if you asked. The worst case is they say "no", but I'm guessing that won't be the case.

It is absolutely necessary! But, yes, while the film is in the canister, it doesn't matter. While you're rolling it out and closing the camera you need it.

Anything that you can shoot at 800ISO. If it's color fim, 400ISO should work fine; but B&W must be 800.

Fariany M Inglesjz you can do this in a dark room, but you can't use your darkroom light-it must be completely dark. Add far as film, just make sure you match the specific camera's indicated ISO. (You can calculate times for pushing b&w film here: theinsolite.com/generalized-bw-pushing-formula/)

You'll have to retrieve the leader of the film to reload it; but, yes, it's definitely possible!

@@sarahallee2145 you can buy a cheap split cam on amazon for like $10 or less and it lets you take up to like 6 exposures per frame.

There isn't much 800 film because it's generally accepted that most 400 films push easily to 800. If you don't develop yourself, just tell your lab to push it one stop.

Just remove the battery. Don't touch the flash unit-it has a very strong charge and could seriously mess you up.

Yes any 35mm will work but the camera thinks the film is 800 so just develop it by pushing 2 stops since it is only 200

Disposable cameras are free, and I have a changing bag which I take to reload them while driving. It's easier and cheaper if you want to give cameras to other people on the trip with you. And, they can just hold onto it and finish it whenever they want.

I tried it on fujifilm quicksnap and it doesn't work. The cover comes out and reveals the front, without giving you access to the bobin on which you can load your roll

Agreed, I always changed my film in my camera in a very low light room.

Update: I just loaded the film. Thing is I had a bit of trouble when I rewinded back the film into the "bobine" because when I pushed it with my fingers it began to be loose therefore the film around the "bobine" isn't tight at all. That's one thing... The second is that because of this I can't close the camera completely since the roll is too loose. But I guess it's not too much of an issue because I just taped it veryy tightly where it could not close. Third isn't actually an issue (woohoo!) but I took 3 photos with it, and although it is quite tough to move on to the next exposure, it still works. So I guess everything's fine? And last: my question about the fingerprints still stands, because I'm afraid i just ruined the whole film :( I'm not sure if you can actually understand what I said because I don't have much vocab abt film photography sorry abt that..

You can absolutely do it in a dark room-just make sure there's absolutely no light! Honestly, I wouldn't worry *too* much about fingerprints, especially if you wash the film when you develop. Don't be scared to ruin film-it's all part of the learning/experimentation process!

Funny, but I hate black and white photographs. They look really horrible. You lose so much detail! I even prefer watching old films that were originally in black and white when they have been colourized. Especially old laurel and hardy films.

You probably should... Also, use the flash after removing them to make sure they no more juice in the capacitor. The flash holds a charge that will fry a pacemaker.

David Allen there's no slot :( there was a sprocket hole shaped square and I tried to fit the film's sprocket hole here but when I put it together, the film doesnt rewind itself after two shots.

spongebobdriftpants I don't know the Fuji disposables that well-I'll have to look into it. as far as the exposure index, on the Kodaks (with the flash) EI is right about 800. (I do all of my own lab work, this is something I know for sure). Also, with color film, you have much more exposure latitude; so, yes, you can mess with ISO sure a bit more. with B&W you need to be more careful. Even during the day, in the shade, sometimes the Kodaks underexpose the photo without the flash engaged.
