What's the device used to remove the bolts below the tail light? I tried with a typical socket wrench and it would not budge

I can’t get it either even tho the 7/16 seems to fit on it......what did you end up doing?

saw this after watching other videos for 2018 Honda accord, two different real light assembly designs. this one worked for me but too late, I broke the black side piece. some you can pop off, this design is only accessible through the trunk.
