Instead of disabling the exup valve you need to disable the air flapper.

Small connector = turn signal relay You can leave the connector (that goes to the resistor) there. But on the first gen 675 (06-08) you can't disable the intake flapper (you can, but you will still get a CEL light). So the best way to bypass this to install a resistor or leave the stock one connected.

Sorry for my late response. You can remove the entire line that goes to the throttle body. But it is allot of work (remove tank, airbox, throttle bodies, fuel injector line). And put a cap on the throttle body. Or the easy way: Put a small marble or bearing inside the line and secure it with some tie-wraps

ofcource, you can leave the oem solenoid in place. I didn't want to use it, so I replaced it for a resistor

also how did you cap or plug the line that goes to the throttle body? did you yank out that line and some how plug the area where it connected to the throttle body or just plug the tip of the line and left it connected to the throttle body?

You only need one. Cut the connector, that is connected to the right part at 4:14. and you will need "Cement Resistors 10w 47Ohm"

I got a 06 and removed the intake flapper. Do you know, how many ohm the resistors should have? I think i need one on the connector to the flapper(motor), and another one on the sensor near the solenoid?

Hey man , with the engine fault light, is it ok to ride around with it on until I can get a hold of the cable and tuneboy to turn it off? The bike wont run differently or something will it?

u lost me at 3:20 okay so you unscrewed the solenoid and the turn signal relay. not the solenoid but the other thing. it has a thick wire attached to it but when you later show the solenoid and that turn signal thing all disconnected from the bike that thick wire isn't in the shot. is that still on the bike? did you tape it to something or is it just off dangling? the wire i'm talking about is the wire thats over your thumb at the 3:39 second mark

Can't you just remove the actual flapper itself and leave the system thinking that there is one when there isn't?

Yup, have done this mod on my 07 Scorched Yellow Daytona 675 along w/ deleting the EXUP valve, ect. Left my 02 sensor intact. These are very common mods done on Daytona 675.

Why wouldn't you just get a new flapper if the noise bothered you that much.

Other than small weight savings, why would you wanna waste money on something that's not necessary ? Intake flapper, EXUP and SAI valve, CAT, 30 lb stock exhaust can are to satisfy Fed regs - NOT to enhance performance.

I know about the CAT and full exhaust systems. A full Akra system takes 18lbs off the '13 675. I figured the flapper actually might help prevent shit from getting into the engine.

Zalonka Naw, that's what the screen mesh on the front is for. Keeps birds out. lol Flapper is designed to be fully open at 4,500 RPM. Triumph was required to put flapper on to reduce "4 barrel carb opening up Sound" at low RPM. Personally I like the noise ! Akra ? Pleaseeee. Weight saving ? My entire undertail exhaust is gone. Have a lo-boy gixxer tip welded on about 18inch back from where my CAT used to be. Not to mention my right under-thigh no longer gets hot in stop/go traffic.
