Hey there! Unfortunately not. Disconnecting the black (negative) terminal on the battery will disarm the airbag system so you can work on any airbag component safely. Yes, my apologies. I do quite a lot of electrical work (household) and always say neutral and negative the wrong way around!! Hopefully it's clear enough that it means the black cable!! The method of diconnecting only the black from the battery is the exact Audi workshop way. If you don't like their way, you can disconnect both.
