How to remove cb750k exhaust PLUS BRAP BRAPS!
Today I'm going to show you how to remove the exhaust from your CB750K. Then I install a free "mystery" exhaust that came with the bike when I bought it. Be sure to catch the old/new 4 into 1 pipe at the end. It's loooouuud! (needs a muffler... maybe)
This is a really easy process and very straight forward. Minimal tools are required.
If you have a 77-78 SOHC CB750 the exhaust removal is slightly different. The exhaust collars will be attached to the cylinder head on a set of studs. You'll probably have an easier time removing those than I did removing the exhaust machine screws, on this earlier model.
I bought this bike for $750 over two years ago and I'm making it a point to work on it more and then to RIDE MORE in 2018!!!

Hey Gerald. The process might be slightly different of course, for your dual overhead cam CB. I've never looked into re-chroming as I've never had any pipes clean enough to restore! Lol

Hey, I really enjoy your videos. Your able to make a daunting task seem simple. I am currently thinking about taking off my exhaust pipes and cleaning them. There is a lot of exhaust leaking happening. Where would I go to purchase the copper washers? Also, where did you buy your new exhaust pipes? Thanks

are the copper crush washer things the only other pieces I'd need to replace if I put new collars on my 750...or are there gaskets that sit in those holes too?

There are no other gaskets. Just the copper crush washers. 😃

You have the side covers!! I have the same freedom green 74. It's the only engine,bike I know. I have video from few years ago pulling the engine out.

I have a 76 cb750k that the previous owner did the same chop job on a set of 77/78 pipes. But he also went a step further and welded the rear pipe mount flange to the frame! So for four years I have been gearing up to bolt on a new set of pipes.

Ugh! So the exhaust is permanently mounted to the frame of the bike?!?

Yep. Wouldn't be so bad but the front nuts holding on the 1 and 4 pipe are completely unaccessible so it's gotta be cut off the frame or grind off. I have been searching for someone else that had the same issue.

any ideas how to pull back the baffles on my cb750kz?? not a good idea when you want a long ride....

Were the original baffles cut out? It could be tough to put originals back in. You might have to talk to a fabrication shop about your best options.

I did not, but it depends on pipes, intake, etc.

If going with straight pipes with the stock air filter box do you need to change the jet size? Im thinking of doing a similar setup:)

Very likely. I introduced a little back pressure with mine via the silencer. You may need to bump the jets up or adjust the needle position with a straight pipe.

I can't say for sure as I've never had a Delkevic system.
