When eating corn on the cob, sometimes I eat one row at a time using my teeth to pull off the whole kernels. It takes longer, but it's somehow satisfying.

This same method was taught to me by my mom whn i was 15yrs old... but she says pluck the 1st row slowly... then remaining we can easily do it with thumb... nice to see that u r using the same method as well.

Perfect... this is exactly what I've been looking for! I want the entire kernel, not a hacked and smashed kernel that looses some of its flavor and snap in a recipe. Yes, I can still use my corn stripper and cordless drill set-up for fast removal, but sometimes I need the whole kernel, unmolested. Deeps was right... is simple! Thank you.

@@angel0fangelsangel504 That's uncooked. You can cook it and then follow the same process to remove the corn and eat.

Break it in half and you can do the same pushing motion to pop the kernels out like you are doing. Go in a circular pattern starting at the break line instead of rows. It is easier than getting started with a spoon. Less you wanted to keep the cob whole for some craft project or something.

This way is good, but hardly doable in 1 minute. I like how it gets ALL the corn kernel out - cutting them off leaves too much on the cob.

Just break the corn into halves, then you can get them with no mess. Unlike her method of removing the seeds vertically, the method I mentioned is to remove horizontally.

Easier method will be break the corn cob into half and use ur thumb and not nails to remove the corn kernels..works life magic. no need of spoon or knife

It works much better when the corn is perfectly cooked I cut the corn into 3 pieces and cooked it And also the first row is not wasted It comes perfectly fine..👍🏻

I like to separate the kernels of about 2 corns and then stir fry them with a little bit of butter or margarine, then add some scallions, salt and sugar to taste and put some sriracha on top at the end... give it a try, you’ll love it! 😆

I use a small pairing knife. I don't cut the kernels but use the blade to pop them out.
