Bro! Pls let me know the depth of the hole saw you've used. I tried to remove my db killer with 38mm TCT hole saw but as it's depth is just around 250mm, the teeth of the hole saw is not touching the metal surface to be cut! So, it would be a great help if you could lemme know the depth/length of the hole. saw used

Guys I recommend to use 38 mm drill bit for more clean cut .

I used a bi metal 38mm (1.5") hole saw and kept it at about 300-400 rpm and it cut through very smoothly without any smoke or harm to the drill bit, anything over 600 rpm will cause overheating and premature wear to the bit... I also used a rod with a curved end to retrieve the db killer .. love the sound ..

Absolutely not. The exhaust on the 250 and the new 390 is pretty easy to remove... I mean.. Its just 2nuts..😂

Yes it will affect the torque...!!! So go and get a slip on. But never touch the stock ones.

Yes it has affected the low end torque to some extent but the mid range and high range torque has been increased slightly the bike pulls very fast after 6k RPM before the torque band was equally effective throughout the whole rev band now the lower torque band is affected at the very slightest :D

bro what ur concept is nice but u have distroy ur exaust mouth baffle is made for less exaust noise and their cotton net type thing to absorb those noise...if u wanted to take that baffle out atleast take that rebet and u would have easily took out insted of drilling it and distroying it..

The average should be affected by some extent because the factory mileage is tuned according to the stock exhaust note i'll tell you after some time bro :D

The Tone is basically the same just the bass has increased a bit . it's been a few days i don't even notice a very significant change but it does sounds better than Stock for sure ^_^

The sound difference between removing the exhaust and removing the DB Killer is very obvious (TALKING ABOUT THE DB-KILLER REMOVED EXHAUST NOTE) This sound however sounds very refined while not being too loud on the lower revs but not too dubbed on higher revs and i think it's perfect in the 2-4K rev band the sound sounds exactly like the stock exhaust with db killer but after 5K it really makes some difference :D and yeah don't worry it sounds just like stock just a tad bit louder (EXACTLY TO MY PERSONAL LIKING) while on the other hand removing the whole muffler is a different story :D

Dont do all those jugaad things and waste the stock exhaust ... All u need to do is "Remove the silencer", just ond 12size bolt at botton and two 8size at rear foot rest, that's it - over... You wil experience Awesome base sound. You can fix back the exhaust in just 5min whenever needed.

I Spoke with a friend who did the same mod on his Duke 390 he says it does void warranty but it really depends on the showroom people i have very good terms with the guys at KTM and i think i won't have any problem regarding this mod and we are modifying the factory exhaust not entirely changing it so it won't be much of a problem HOWEVER if you run the bike without the exhaust and if you completely change the exhaust you are likely to face more problems than removing the DB KILLER :D HOPE THIS HELPS
