I am so very very happy with this program! It has already saved me from multiple flicker and noise movies.

I'm curious about the flicker remover in the current version of the Final Cut Keat Video. (The screen is very different from the old tutorial.) Do I just check the Flicker on the Temporal menu?
@NeatClips Жыл бұрын
Hi there. We haven't changed the user interface since the release of Neat Video 5. Most likely you are working in the Beginner mode while the tutorial is based on Advanced mode (you can switch to the Advanced mode by going to Tools > Advanced mode). To make sure we are on the same page, please send us a screenshot demonstrating what you see to supportATneatvideo.com Thanks!

Is it possible to only remove the flicker without using a noise profile? It seems that flicker reduction with noise reduction is a bit too much for me...
@NeatClips4 жыл бұрын
You can remove only frame flicker (not local flicker) without removing any noise. To do that, build noise profile and adjust filter settings, as usual, and then switch off those components you are not interested in. For example, switch off Spatial filter altogether and set Noise Reduction Amount to 0 on Temporal noise tab. Once those steps are done, click Play and adjust Frame Flicker slider. You can also increase Temporal radius to 5 to get better result.

Hi. This is brilliant. However, is it possible to remove flicker without removing noise? I have a shot, where frame flicker is present, and works absolutely flawlessly, it completely removes all the flickering as well as noise, which i don't want in this case. Is there any way i can sort of do those steps separately?

Hey Gizzit, thanks for the question! Some temporal noise reduction is inevitable? unfortunately, so the only thing you can do is to balance the Temporal Noise Reduction Amount between 0% and 100% to achieve enough flicker reduction while not getting too much smoothing. Please try the following steps: 1. In Spatial Filter, set the Noise Reduction Amounts (Luminance, Cr, Cb) to 0%. 2. In Temporal Filter, reduce the Noise Reduction Amount to some middle value between 0% and 100%. 3. Adjust the Local Flicker and Frame Flicker to reduce the flicker itself. If you do get too much smoothing, then the problem is likely in the noise profile. Try to re-build it using another area with no details.

@@NeatClips It actually worked! It did remove some of the noise, unfortunately, but fliker's gone. Thank you.

@@mvinch101 Thanks for letting us know. We hope to make a deflicker that doesn't have to go with denoising in the future, so your shots don't lose any sharpness

@@NeatClips That would be amazing! Looking forward to that.

Hi there. When you purchase Neat Video Pro or Home and install it on your computer, there will be no watermark when you apply the denoiser to your clips

What about timelapse flicker?
@NeatClips3 жыл бұрын
Hey Kevin, thanks for the question! Neat Video can definitely help you with timelapse flicker. Have a look at our home page www.neatvideo.com/ The second slide is a timelapse. We recommend switching to Advanced Mode (Tools > Advanced Mode) to deal with flicker. Please let us know if you have any questions.
