In today's video i show how to remove flywheel bolts without a impact. This method works best with the engine in the car but still works without the engine installed.

Worked in 5 minutes with a 30", 1/2 drive breaker bar. They were tight but they came right out. Thanks so much!

I freaking love you !! lol this was so easy and it held like a champ never fell off or damaged anything . it just stayed how you showed how to set it up and reversed the direct to put the flywheel back on and torque it. Seriously don't know what I would have done without this video. Can't speak highly enough about how great this trick was. Seriously life saver ! Thank you !!!

Awesome idea, I normally use a punch and stick it in the clutch bolt hole to catch the back of the block.
@TexasHondaChannel4 жыл бұрын
I have done that as well. I damaged threads once doing that though so i tried finding another way and this works pretty good but i always say do whatever works!

Thanks for posting this; it worked great for me! I had the engine out of the car, with the oil pan sitting on the floor and the top of it supported by my cherry picker. I found the best way to do this was jam the flywheel with the wrench like you showed, grab the valve cover with my right hand, the intake manifold with my left hand, and then use my left foot on the end of the breaker bar to loosen the bolts. It also worked on the crank bolt, just like you said.

I'd be careful because the flywheel bolts are really short so you're more prone to strip them

Thank you, Sir! I was replacing the clutch & flywheel on my accord typeS , in the driveway on axle stands with basic tools. Nightmare job, removing the subframe, etc. Finally got to this part. Was losing the plot and about to reach for the angle grinder... 😅 Nice one 👍

Sweet, I’m changing my clutch and you can use this method with a double box end wrench to tighten them up also with your torque wrench! I thought I may need to buy a flywheel holder but this will do the trick.

Need to buy a better battery powered impact. I got one close to $300 from harbor freight, well worth it, paid for itself numerous times. First test to see if I would of kept it was at junkyard and busted loose 5 honda accord crank pulley bolts, so kept it. Had it for now about 2-3 years no issues, I just used it today to break axles,calipers, crank pulley bolt, mount, and all transmission housing bolts.
