for melasma, dermatologists typically recommend a tinted sunscreen with iron oxides for protection against visible light which has been shown to induce or aggravate pigmentation. other than tyrosinase inhibitors, you can add chemical exfoliants as well specifically lactic or glycolic acid for hyperpigmentation and/or melasma but, be careful with their use.

Hii Madiha..mjhe 2,3 saal se PCOS ha with hirustism and all other symptoms..aur sth hi mjhe freckles hui...PCOS ka mjhe jldi pta nai chl ska to Maine bs melasma K liye dermatologist K pas gai,she recommended me tranxemic acid tablets, Hydroquinone and GK bar for melasma and for nodular acne clear cream and cap isozam 20 mg .I asked her for Q switch laser but she said no..Now, I've addressed my pcos and I'm on my treatment. In skincare I'm using continuously using gel sunscreen,and GK Bar..And also I'm using tretnoin for anti aging purpose and glass skin.While strictly following everything I've come to know that I'm not having my melasma doesn't increased but remained same.. it's not on the skin upper layers.. it's in the roots.how it can be removed..?after my proper PCOS treatment,it will go away or not.what should I do.i'm 23years old..plz reply me

@wolfspirit143 These stick spf are highly ineffective. You have to apply atleast 4 laters of it to get some protection. Research says that atleast 40 layers can provide you 30 spf protection.! Furthermore there ingredients are shady. I have used an experience of many sunscreens. And will suggest you to not use these sunscreens. They are ineffective. Stay away. They are just fancy looking. But provide no protection. Just selling due to attractive marketing ad campaigns and paid reviews of influencers.
