We had a MAJOR furniture disaster today! Kenzie is sharing how to remove permanent marker from a fabric couch. Don't be discouraged! It is possible!! BUT, you're kidding me, right? It's a brand new couch! Cohen had fun with a giant Sharpie which made for a stressful afternoon.
We weren't share we'd be able to share this mishap but the finished product gave us a sigh of relief and we wanted to be able to help someone else who may find themselves in the same situation.

My son’s name is Cohen and he just did this to our couch. Oh my gosh. He looks like a rainbow because he grabbed markers from my work area. This is saving our couch. THANK YOU. So hard not to laugh at it when it’s still stressing me out 😂

Spray on sunblock removes sharpie off of little faces so well! It just melts right off! Thanks for sharing the cleaning for the couch! ❤❤❤

Aww…I’m sorry Kenzie… I understand how you feel! I know it’s just a couch, but you have had it for only few days!!! You want it to be clean and brand new ✨ However… Cohen was tooo cute😂 I love his creativity 😎✨ I am in Japan, so I don’t know where to tell. You are a cleaning genius! WOW! And I thought markers on walls were a bad thing! I will never have to stress out again! I’m buying what you used and saving your video for future reference! I have to admit though after gasping I did laugh a little after I found out you were able to get it out! Gotta love the littles! 🥰

Just tried this for magenta sharpie on a grey couch cushion and it worked!! Thank you!! I didn’t use the same carpet cleaner but had the pink stuff at my house. It took three rounds for me.

Oh Cohen. I so can relate. For the first time in my life I bought a brand stinkin new couch and my then 10 y son decided while I was in the shower put a pizza box with a bullseye drawn on it, propped up in front of the love seat. Well of course we need an object to through at said bullseye. You know the cheapy orange and metal pumpkin cutter with the curated edges. Of course he over threw and it stuck in the fabric. When he would remove it from the couch the edges would add insult to injury. Needless to say, there I was with needle and thread sewing up my couch through tears. I would say about 20/25 holes/ slices. Mama hug to you Kenz You did great Kenz. What did you do to get the artwork off of Cohen?

Omgosh I'm SHOCKED and SO proud for two reasons. 1. You DID it!! 2. You didn't give him shaken 👶 syndrome, even though for a minute you REALLY wanted to. 😂 BELIEVE me, I know. I'm living it! Hence the reason I'm here😂 3 days in a brand new home. While giving a friend the tour, 5 mins tops. My lovely offspring got the jumbo sharpie from my purse and drew a giant masterpiece all over the custom carrera marble countertop. At first I REALLY wanted to shake it like a Polaroid picture, I didn't. After all, she's my one and only. I don't have the backup you folks do! 😂 After research, my only option is to file an insurance claim. I think we'll be keeping our master/conversation piece. Btw, They were coming to seal the counters tomorrow because marble is such a porous surface. 😭😭 Que Sera Sera

Thanks so much. My puppy some how found an in pen burried in the couch while I was not home. And now I have a big ink spot on my brand new couch. Not mad at my little buddy things can be fixed.

I’m not a parent I’m a child but my marker leaked and got a bunch of ink on the couch. When I went to go use the restroom and I’m trying to get it out without getting caught😭👍🏽

I still can see a stain w/ outline … but it is an improvement from what the damage originally looked like.

I used to be a preschool teacher and hand sanitizer will be good to it off of Cohen. Worked for me.

Do you know where your sister in law got the couch from? I will be looking soon and it will be helpful to know where to start looking. I had a Bob's Furniture a few years ago and it's just cheaply made.

Hii!! you work só hard! Maybe you can use baking soda , wather and washing powder! just put it on a sponge and wet it with water to scrub, dry. I mean, in case it happening again!

Dogs are no better. Somehow one of my dogs got a hold of an ink pen and has a dime size ink blot on our ottoman. Luckily it’s a little shaggy so I just took my razor knife and was able to cut the pieces off. You can’t even tell after I took our carpet cleaner And ran over it about 12 times. I took the entire carpet cleaner and put it on there because ours doesn’t have that detachable nifty thing but I soaked it down with the stuff that my wife bought. It’s some kind of grandma’s fabric cleaner I don’t know the name of it and it worked amazing.

Has anyone thought that maybe it's time to put up the permanent markers so the kids can't get to it unless they have adult supervision??? But kids will be kids
