How to remove / replace Gen3 Jimny gearbox.

Pay someone else to do it! Can be done by yourself on the drive, but what a pain. Hardest part is separating the box from the engine, I used a pry bar to remove, and that still took some time. Have fun!

Brill vid - very much appreciated ! Really good that you included the size of bolts - - big help that a lot of people doing vids don't do ! As our Jimny ate its 'box bearings for breakfast, looks like I'll be having a little lie down. On the driveway. :(

so I finally got around to trying to take my box out, good lord how did they get those things in, in the first place i managed to get the bolts removed to take the bracket off an inpact gun makes short work of them

No it dont come out if you remove the rear mount!!

Спасибо, очень познавательно! Может вы мне подскажите в чем дело? Есть неприятный момент - когда еду на пониженной и выжимаю сцепление что-то грюкает двойным бу-дум. Где-то спереди, то ли сцепление, то ли коробка или кардан или диф передний, не понимаю.. Чем выше обороты и чем резче выжимаю тем громче бу-дум)) Если совсем сбросить газ и меедленно выжать сцепление то звука почти не слышно.. Звук механический, как будто железо об железо.. такое впечатление что разболталось что-то.. но вопрос почему именно на пониженной?
