Having watermarks/spots on windscreen and glass can be dangerous as it limits our vision during night drives or during raining days.
Water-spots or watermarks forms when minerals crystalize on the surface. Here are some useful tips to remove water spot on glass, and how to prevent it from forming again. This is also our updated version from our previous video.

Use a balled up newspaper instead of a microfiber towel, when cleaning windows. It's an old mechanic's trick. Doesn't streak, doesn't leave behind particles like microfiber towels tend to, and it absorbs whatever cleaning solution you used. It's literally perfect.

So wash, clay , tape off edges and use the glass polish to bring out shine then glass sealant....perfection!!!

All that effort? I only use Steel wool and Done... glass is harder than steel so won't get scratched if well cleaned before and all contamination removed.

I think you're the only one taping the sides so you don't damage the paint or other trim. Others can learn from you

I had severely spotted glass on my Mustang. I tried all kinds of methods - steel wool, buffer, CLR cleaner, other chemicals and your method. The ONLY method that worked was using Turtle Wax Compound Wax that was hand applied.

Finally a good video on how to sort out greasy water stained glass....I've tried most things....some help but never crystal clear. I have glass polish but hasn't the time thus far but will definitely now be sorting my glass....its drove me mad for years. Thank you 😊

Thanks a lot. Tried the chemical guys gel with hand application. Worked for 6 hours and got the bulk of it off but was still left with some spots even if they were more faint. You could see an outline. Need to use this stuff and a buffer. Thank you!
