Hey! The chicken fried with okra slime was a hit! Family killed it,the slime made the flour stick better than egg! Let's give a new name ,slime sounds yuckie! How about okra juice or okra yoke

I use frozen okra, put a little oil in bottom of air fryer and little bit on top of okra. turn air fryer on 350 for 25-30 minutes. Don't flip for the first 8 minutes, then flip every 5-6 minutes and slime disappear with 15-20 minutes. when it just a little slime flip more often. I cook lot of okra,big family thank God for air fryers..20lb in less then 2 hours.

if you put a big bash of okra in air fryer you will need to add another 10-15 minutes,.. I do medium bashes

I love the okra my mom use to make with stewed tomatoes onions garlic and ground beef my mothers okra was never slimy she made the best okra we had it once a week.

I tried this and it was still slimy. Maybe I didn’t wait long enough for the oil to heat up all the way or maybe it was because I had frozen okra. Or maybe I used the wrong oil. I was using extra virgin olive oil.

I don't know about the oil but I know with frozen okra it can be a bit tricky to remove the slime

Using olive oil burns to fast so use hot vegetable oil works wonders

If you do not want slimy Okra do not chapped the okra .If you making it with the meats first cook the meat . When is tender add the whole okra and the tomato sauce mix once cover 20 minutes your food is ready .chop okra makes a great Gamboling.

you need to replace that pan, the surface is probably teflon which is very bad, some probably is mixing into whatever you cook. I cut okra lengthwise, toss it in chili power mix then air fry. It's a great snack while watching sports
