I tried it for a few days before removing it. It would make more sense if the whole hood was covered. I really like the matte finish of vinyl wrap though.

Yeah, haha, the hood sticker is the easiest way to identify a Subaru Wilderness. Glad to hear that you like yours. Maybe it would have grown on me.

Which decals are you talking about? The hood sticker peels off but it leaves residue that you need to remove.

haha, yeah, it's painted the same under the sticker. Peel it off! Apparently using a heat gun while peeling is the best method.

I removed that decal pretty quickly. Less than a month I’d say. But anything less than a year should prevent a color difference.

the goo Gone caused no damage to the clear coat, but I think a better method is to use a heat gun like the vinyl professionals.

Yeah, I did it for the improved crawl ratio. The Forester Wilderness has better diff gears and a lower first gear cvt ratio. The combined effect is a 26% better crawl ratio!

@@MatthewHeiskell indeed! It’s awesome.. especially with a rear diff torque locker ;) I Also put in HikeIT performance Tuner. You should replace trans mount and put those iron man CKits in. ;) I did a full bumper replacement with winch 💪 I look forward to your cutting videos

I’m not convinced that modern Subarus with X-Mode significantly benefit from a rear locker. The performance tuner sounds interesting. I’ll look it up. I have a new set of Ironman on standby, spec-c front for the winch bumper and medium rear for comfort and articulation. But I’m really digging the wilderness struts. I’m going to first try the ADF eco lift. It’s 1.5” front and 1” rear. Adding that to the 0.5” higher wildy struts MIGHT be a sweet setup. The new bumper is going to be rad. I’m going to raise the radiator and make a high clearance lower radiator support to significantly improve the approach angle.

@@MatthewHeiskell oh the locker definitely helps. You’re not convinced because you haven’t rode on trails with or without it. It’s a big difference maker dude.

@@MatthewHeiskell I have a pair of the wilderness trucks sitting in my garage if you want them ha ha. I put 1 3/8” ADF spacer on top of the Iron Man. It’s beautiful I removed my front sway bar my articulation is unreal.
