This is how to remove a toilet cistern lid on a dual flush tank. This is a very common problem people face when trying to repair or remove a toilet cistern of this style. With no visible signs or indicators on the toilet for how to do this most people at this stage either break the cistern or give up. Now you guys know how to do it yourself. Absolute legend mate. I had 3 ppl come to my place and quoted me from $700 to $3500 to fix the issue i had with the buttons. I was able to do it myself after watching your video and it only costed me $20. Keep up the good work :)

Just bought my first house today and the toilet was overflowing and the overflow was going into the yard. Now the yard is constantly damp. Now, I’ve adjusted a cistern before but I came to this one and it was sealed! My system is a little different to the one you show but I was able to get the job done and now the yard can dry out. Thanks mate!

Hi Chris, what country do you live in? Only asking as toilets don’t overflow into the back yard unless the sewer line is blocked?

I once used brute force to open one of these type of lids, as I didn´t know some of them were locked. This video was really helpful :D
