You should put the steel camel after all the plumbing so that it lasts even longer! The way you have it set up now, you're cleaning the air before it goes into to the serpentine plunbimg which kind of makes it of little effect I think. You should let the serpentine plumbing do its job first, then into the steel camel, then into the crystal desicants and then out to your line. Just a thought!

Take the beads out and put them in a pot and place on the stove on medium heat, stir them every 10 min until they turn blue again - I do this and reuse the same beads

Nice setup I made one similar but it’s in a Mobil quiet box. With temperature controlled puller pusher fan and I have pre tank cooler lines. From the compressor heads before the tank. Then I have after tank coolers on the outside I’ll have to post a video.

God bless you too, my brother. I do not have an active ion exchange system, such as 5 stg final dryer. I do have a 60gal 2 stg compressor similar to your own. I heard you say that the steel camel could be enough to get good, dry cda. Should I go with a larger camel or do you think this model is good enough. I only hobby paint for myself only and almost never for friends or for extra income. And I would put a tee to a separate regulator for other compressed air work. Thanks!

Do you have a regulator at the line you use for your spray gun? I regulate my air pressure at 120 on the compressor and 90 for the hose connections. I have a motorguard paper filter at spray gun mine. Dessicants break down and create problems. For the money spent I would recommend a refrigerated dryer and you don't have to replace dessicants? Ever have fisheyes that won't come out with the little white spot? Broke down dessicants. Move your camel filter 25-30 feet away and use the motorguard 75 feet away with 4 loops w drain at bottom and you'll save a lot of money. You have a nice setup but spent a lot of money you didn't need to and hobbyists have a hard time justifying that

A lot of people make the mistake of mounting the water separator/dryer bead combo to close the the compressor. You have it right. There needs to be a good length of piping or they wont work properly.
