If you have sharpie stains, use nail polish remover (this was a lifesaver for me)

A little too simple. Make sure you use "Distilled Water". Water with impurities or minerals will leave a new stain on the paper. Using just water may work a part of the time. Other older or more complicated stains will not be removed with just water.

Could be true. I was using a normal Finnish tap water (which is among the highest quality in the world and considered even cleaner than bottled water).

Thank you for the quick and easy tutorial! But the water stain is, in my case, on the cover of the book. It also caused a slight discoloration (classic water stained color). Will this tutorial work on book cover? It's a paperback cover, so it's not that thick but certainly thicker than paper.

I know this is going to sound bad, but will this work for Bible paper? I left the window rolled down in my truck and I keep my Bible in my passenger side seat and it rained while I was asleep and got the bottom of the book wet. It didn't mess up any of the scripture or the commentary but looks bad and is very embarrassing to me.

@@Rapid_gherkinz oh shoot, I wouldn't risk it either. It seems a bit dangerous to do it with the iron, You might end up with a burnt page and no one wants that.
