@moonstriker73504 жыл бұрын
Not really a valid comparison/demonstration at all imho. These quick render + aggressive denoise images usually look terrible, washed out, destroyed detail and textures, mostly unacceptable for a even bit higher standard for final results... which you can't see in a compressed low res video.
@GameDevAcademy4 жыл бұрын
You should try for yourself before making a judgement. The denoiser is only meant for preview purposes. The image does continue to render even after the denoiser has been applied so the results get better the longer you give it just as with any other render. Whilst I wouldn't use a quick denoised image for a final render, the results are great for getting a quick look at his the final render will come out.
@moonstriker73504 жыл бұрын
@@GameDevAcademy I did try myself. Don't make assumptions, and think they are facts. No, denoisers are not only for preview at all, I don't even know where that came from. With raytracing, especially if it has casutics too f.e., the "final render" time is basically infninte. You make a judgement where to stop, and how much PP you apply. The problem is that most 3D package's denoisers are garbage, the kind of destructive stuff photoshop used to have a decade ago... especially compared to things like topaz.
