I use simple tools and materials that you probably already have in your garage, and explain and demonstrate the entire process so that you can follow along with your own cut or damaged extension cord. It'll work, but trim back, solder, liquid electrical tape and heat shrink....much much cleaner.

Maybe OK for an emergency. But,....I would never recommend something like this to another person.. Potential for it to pull apart exposing a hot wire. So,...potentially dangerous. A friend of mine's brother was electrocuted when he touched a bare wire while looking for fishing gear in the family attic,...lt happens.

Too bulky. Use varied length on each wire then butt connect them. Using heat shrink tubing makes in clean and thinner.

Butt connectors and heat shrink, and then electrical tape makes for a much nicer finished product. Good video though.
