Bro I spilled an entire bottle of water on my laptop yesterday. It turned off immediately, i was terrified. I tried to soak it from the outside the best I could and kept trying to power it on, which I realise now, was a mistake. I kept it in front of a fan in a tent pose for 30 min but still didn't turn on. But I guess miracles do happen because my laptop suddenly decided to boot up when I once again hit the power button with my hope slowly dying away. Voila! It works and it's in perfect shape, I am so glad that rejoiced!

I did use the ac but not directly on components (just 3 hours of drying) it worked again, i did a research so i make sure the spill wasn't directly on the motherboard, I checked all the ports on the laptop no water was inside

Right when the coffee spilled directly on my keyboard, it shut off instantly. And as I tried to fix it shortly after they light up keyboard shut off. For context, my laptop is a dell. So it seems as if there is no hope for it, so I have no clue what I’m gonna tell my parents. Pray for me please, lmao.

I regret my choice so much , I had to go home in the rain today and I had no umbrella or protection for my laptop just the case and the bag and I thought nothing would happen to it. When I got home I felt that my laptop case was all wet from the rain and it had seeped through my bag, I turned on my laptop and it seemed to be running fine so as stupid as I was I turned it on and watched KZfaq videos. In the middle of watching a video after a few hours of getting home my screen suddenly turns black, I see that key lights are on but there isn’t any projection on the screen I start panicking and I search up ways to reboot my laptop, but it doesn’t restart the screen is just blank and there is still no projection. I feel so upset because I haven’t even had this laptop for a year and I’ve completely ruined it. Now I’ve learned my lesson to take proper care of my devices and be wary when it’s raining and have a device in the bag I hope this teaches you to take care of your devices too and that water and devices don’t go well together.

What shall i do? My keyboard keys are showing different alphabets at the same time....i.e. If i press key 'A', it shows 'ASD' at same time..

Dang I spilled a cereal with milk on my keyboard and speaker because of a rat that I saw near me on the other side of the window and I panicked that leads to this accident. Look if i happen to stumble upon this comment. I'll tell you my case. I was drinking a Oreo shake with tiny pieces of Oreo in it, I spilled it all over my macbook keyboard. All i did was keep it in tent position for like 2 hours or so in my shelf, shelf because it needs to be warm. Then I just opened it and it was working just fine. Also when u open it click shift+ power button to safeboot it. Dont panick. Thank you!

God i was just studying and all of a sudden the entire curry fell on my laptop ... Specially on my keyboard 🥲 and i got panicked because i recently bought a brand new laptop after begging my parents 😀 And they were simply watching Netflix in the hall i was in my room panicking but than i got up with that curry on my blanket my slippers my earphones and everywhere one can ever imagine 🙌 i had this big task to hide it from my parents or else i would be dead the next moment 😭 So i quickly took some cloth and cleaned the upper part of the keyboard got my laptop (any device cleaner gel) and poured the entire bottle hoping it would save my laptop... I didn't turned it off i was busy pressing random keys while cleaning the mess after 5 minutes my mouse wasn't working 😭 guess what it worked some time later I quickly got up and brought my nail cleaner 😂 to get it into the space between the keys and check wether it's clean inside (ik i am a dumba$$) but i saw that there were some yellowish liquid ofc my curry ... Dude i started to search for my phone huridly and got this video of yours i than immediately turned my lapi off and placed it upside down i don't really have any hair dryer and it's winters if i turn air conditioner on my parents would doubt my mental health 😂😑..and than i cleaned the entire mess i created in the room my quilt was dirty too .. i think i am sleeping in cold now without any covering sad because it got dirty i can't even step out at this time or else my mom would kill me if she knows what have i done send your prayers ... finally after so much struggles i am waiting here i have to submit a lot of assignment tomorrow and have no option now except to sleep and get ready for the punishment from my teachers tomorrow 🤧 may lord save me ... 🙌

Welp I did all except the repair shop or the tilt thing bc I am definitely gonna break this screen if I do. Let's just hope it will never become an issue and I did well by quick turn off and the cloth. I sacrificed 3 cloth and a recently cleaned couch and desk for this stupid mobile device.

Hello there was a leak from our roof! It was raining and there was a puddle of water under my laptop. I’ve dried it and unplugged it, it turned on when I clicked the power but then it turned off. It’s an HP laptop btw! I retired turning it on and plugging the charger in nothing no red light or white light popped up. Please help and tell me if there is any hope for it! There was some kind of spot on my laptop screen so i decided to clean it with wet cloth I took some drop of water on cloth squeeze all water from cloth thn clean that area but when water dried from screen thr a spot appeared on screen moisture kind but i dont understand water didn't get inside the laptop and the the spot is coming there will go or it need repairing?
