$20k and $8k were two bids we received to re-level our pavers after a sump pump failed and lifted many of them out. You just saved me a ton of money, I cannot thank you enough!!!

We had that problem no matter what we did as its the ground underneath. So after so many years including flooding from it we put in a french drain from the middle of the door going out to a dip in our yard where it should go and voila, no more issues. It cost us $1k with our excavation guy, wish we had done it when we build the house. Beautiful work here but I am afraid you will just be back at it in a few years. Keep sharing, blessings and yeah wear knee pads, once those knees are gone you don't ever get them back.
@GPackard2 жыл бұрын
Yeah well if we end up back at it in a few years then I guess I'll get paid again in a few years.lol and you're right my knees are shot now good luck Ana.

very informative video, have you considered making a video on organizing your work tools so they aren't a jumbled mess in a shop? and perhaps a video of what tools you use on paver patios, the scraper is one i never even thought of

In my country we add a little cement to the wetted lime stone screening so that it would compact and harden up and would provide a larger base area and hence less pressure on each cell. I do not believe that sealing the gaps would be a long term repair as the individual paver will still create a lot of pressure in the granulated lime stone screening. That is only a temporary repair and it will finish up sinking as the previous one, which is what the worker wants but not what the owner of the home wants! . It is well known that Pressure is equal to Force over area so one might as well discuss it with the home owner.
@44danielson4 жыл бұрын
great video. can i do this without compacting after?
@jerrybowers3174 Жыл бұрын
Not advisable.
@akielschmidt89843 жыл бұрын
Loved the video. Quick question though. When you say wet it 3 times, do I add more sand every time or am I just wetting it? Also, how much is a rough estimate for that job yall did?
@GPackard2 жыл бұрын
You wet it leave it sit for 15 or 20 minutes that activates the ingredients to make them hard and you wet them again same thing with another 15-20 minutes then you're done. You don't have to add any more sand this is how you activate their polymeric sand according to their instructions.
@GPackard2 жыл бұрын
As far as a rough estimate I don't remember, I think it was somewhere in the neighborhood of five hundred bucks probably.

@liza-marie893 жыл бұрын
Hey, can I do this without a compactor? I want to fix my dad's brickwork because his wheelchair keeps getting stuck and he almost slipped out of the chair after getting stuck on some uneven bricks. Keep in mind in a graphic designer and I've been gardening for a few years but I know basically noting about paving... 🙈
@ralfrudiger72762 жыл бұрын
My answer is probably to late, but yes you can do it with a rubbermallet but keep in mind, that if you do more than 3 square feet you should do it with a compacter otherwise you wont have enough power do a lot of feet. The weight of the mallet is also important. And how uneven is the pavement? Sounds like a lot, so you probably should rip alot out and take some sand to make the paving stones even.
@GPackard2 жыл бұрын
Sorry I'm so late but yes you can pull them out add some base material like Limestone screenings or sand place the pavers back and beat them with rubber mallet until their level with each other.

Concrete pavers are highly over rated. Poured concrete needs to come back.
@GPackard2 жыл бұрын
Not where I'm from here in Wisconsin there's two types of concrete that that's broken and that that's going to break at least with pavers you can pop them out and fix them can't do that with concrete!
