Awesome quick tutorial. Stopped me from running my remote over with a car. Left button didn’t work and center button was double or triple-clicking every time I hit it. Turns out there was sticky soda goo inside. All gone now. Double like!

Thanks, your'e a life saver! Worth pointing out that lifting the inside see-thru membrane to raise the upper copper contacts to clean in between the upper and lower fixed contacts is a must! Also there is a sticky residue on the rubber pieces, this is meant to be there, it's part of the original assembly. The tricky part is getting it back together, note that (as is mentioned) the 2 prongs on the dial need to be at the bottom and the rubber pieces need to fit into the holes at 1 & 7 o'clock. Again as mentioned, you need to fiit the dial, its inner disc, upside down!! Thanks for your great video however, it gave me the confidence to explore and not part with yet more cash on Apple products!! Cheers!!

Dont use blade, it is a deep plastic button. I have already ruined the corner with blade then I figured it out to use a safety pin. Thanks for the tip anyway.
