Hello everyone. In this video i show "How to Repair Electric Screwdriver". Ni-cd batteries deteriorates in a very short time. You've using sanyo high more than 2C drain type of Li Ion, although it was from used laptop but it powerful battery for short brust of energy so it matched with this type of DC motor. So to everyone who wants to follow this tutorial just make sure don't use lower drain Li Ion type. A good choice is Sony, Sanyo, and LG, for the best from Panasonic. Although it used battery always check the data battery from datasheet or web. Because using low drain battery or high internal resistance used battery can burn and spoil then fire up from heat. AND ALWAYS USE A THICK CABLE, because it drain current more than 3Amp in short brust time when it starts and when used in heavy load. I'd love this video. Creative way to placing the 18650 and charging controller in the case 👍👍👍

The torque was diminished by changing the battery 1.5x4=6 V.DC batteries were there in the beginning but when you changed 3.7V lithium ion single battery There are chances to reduce the torque in the performance But I appreciate your new invention Thanks

The general idea is good and I am not expert but some points are against what you did there. For instance, you have replaced a 4-cell 4.8v battery with one 3.6v battery hence you totally lost some significant rpm there. Should have used the same 4-cell set, only avoiding Ni-CD batteries and replacing them with the very similar Ni-Mh The removal of screw fixing place.. big mistake! These are made for a sturdy build especially that the motor does more than it can using the planetary gear system. The whole gluing and grinding part to place the charging board was seriously messy... Thanks for the video, and I am just writing my thoughts should they seem to be beneficial..

At mine i've used 2x 18650 in series, may reduce motor life but, some datasheets said it was able to handle up to 7.4v so not a big problem, anyway got way more torque and a good speed up, tho had to extend its body, since 2 cells of these wont fit there 😂😂 the main issue is that i cant turn it untill stops, it might breakdown one of these plastic gears, and the motor haven't got a good ventilation, on mine i did drill a few holes on its plastic body. Anyway, Well done replacement! For these who wants to try, i recommend High Drain Cells (High Discharge Rate)

Yes, I think 7.4v is not a problem, but as you said, it does not fit in the box. You did a really good job! Drilling the plastic body. By the way, where did you fit the second battery?😂😂 Yeah batteries 18650 with high discharge currents should be used. Thank's for comment bro!😂

@@retsetman9698 I had to grind the plastic body internal and literally had to rip off the bottom XD but the funny thing is, even with the extended frame (black electrical tape rules) it still fits on the bag lolllllll. Hi, nice work but you have bypassed the TP4056, so no protection for the battery (mainly undervoltage protection at 2,75V)....

You changed from 4,8V to 3,6V , didnt the machine get weaker ? The motor gets current direct from battery , doesnt the high current burn the brushes & coil ? Nice video anyway

Actually i think its not get weaker. Yes it was 4.8v but it can gave max 1 A. But now 3.7V and more than 2 A . finally the power increased. Yeah it burn faster than 4.8V battery. But i think it doesnt much effect it
