Part 1:

Having slide problems also, you just taught me a good lesson on bringing the slide in or out by plugging in the new motor even if it is just sitting on the floor. Thanks!

Thanks, leaving the motor on the floor allowed me to fool the controller. That sure helped me.

A little extra note. Before I extend the slide, I always push the ‘IN’ button to make sure it’s fully synced before starting. I do the ‘OUT’ button before bringing it in too.

Sometimes ours won't go out (momentary panic!) until we push the IN button first.

Outstanding video. Much of the process I have not seen before and I have looked for it. I bet that you are much more confident about keeping your Schwintec slide working now and because of your video, I am too. I know that one day I will be in the same boat needing to fix my Schwintec. Its not a question of if, but when. Keep up the good work and know that it is appreciated.

Outstanding job guys! I hope I'll never have to watch it because our own slide malfunctioned 🤞🏻but it's nice to know it's there just in case. Good side info on how the system works by counting revolutions and also by amp surges.

I am going to try this on my 2016 Lance 2285. The whole slide out is cantilevered while in and rests on rollers at the outer wall only. I am going to install raised rollers to support the room on the inside. It will be 2 months before the dealer can get to it and no estimate available. Hope for the best. Thanks for the vid.

Wow. Great video. Lots of detail but even more would’ve been better. I could do this. (Hope I never have to). But some of the details are skimmed over. I understand why. You didn’t want to run for an hour.

Just saw your video. Great job. My slide out has done this for the past month. I get the 8 flash error. I guess I'll replace that motor. The only question I have, is there a difference between the left and right motors or are they the same?

The motors are the same on both sides, but you will have to determine which one of them is failing.

Mate I fix them all day long for avida motorhomes australia been at it for a few years now can't stop the the collems from twisting and eather chewing out shoes and tracks??fix them and they come straight back..why are you running a 6 amp modual with 500:1 motors?they all stuff up?is it the way we are fitting slidouts in Australia??do you have more luck with the lippet set up in the stats? great vid.👍

I hope it's going to last. I wasn't actually aware of my module being rated for 6 amps, that's how the manufacturer chose to assemble our system. I enjoyed the disassembly and repair, but certainly hope that I won't need to repeat the process.

Yep, replaced the same but on all four worked once then fowled again, one corner sticking 3 corners moving, driving me nuts

@rvingitup found a repair shop that dug into the problem, underneath the slide-out is the wheel well, they reduced from double 2x4's to 2x2's over the wheel well, this allows the frame to flex and that flex causes the slide-out system to fowl, going to be a fight to get forest river to fix this
