What's Up Folks,
I had a quick RV plumbing repair job to do and I figured I would video it to demonstrate how to fix a common RV Plumbing leak. It is important to note that RVs and Homes share the same PEX fittings so essentially they are the same. In this video, we use 1/2" PEX pipes, fittings, and crimps. Same tools for motorhomes and stationary homes.
It is a pretty simple job once you see how it is done. The easiest way to tell you have a leak is if your water pump keeps pumping after you close all taps. Sometimes a leak is hard to find, but if you use your ears, eyes and a flash light you should be able to find it.
The tools I used, no specific brand needed, tons of options on Amazon:
1. PEX cutter (You can use a knife for this too, but a PEX cutter is easier)
2. 1/2" PEX fitting and PEX Clamp Ring
3. Crimper Tool for the PEX Clamp Ring (You need this, no other way to crimp the ring properly)
I hope this helps you in your RV plumbing repairs. Thank you for watching!
