***Important: This wasn't mentioned or emphasized in the video, but when removing the trackpad cable be sure to flip-up the tiny little tab that's connected to the lower-connecter before proceeding to pull the trackpad cable out of it!👌🏾

THISSS! There was no mention of flipping up the tiny tab and I didn’t flip it and it seems like something happened with where the wire connects and now my keyboard/trackpad is no longer working.

Thank you! very helpful, battery changed successfully thank you again. The alcohol (I use 99.9% Isopropyl alcohol) and the scalper was very useful, the battery went off so easily.

Thanks man, I just now successfully changed my battery. It would drain to 0% in 2 hours, doable but I knew it would just get worse and it was dying on me in class so I finally bought the battery and this vid helped me get it done.

@@DKyugioh Yeah, on Amazon. Looked up which one was meant for my laptop, bought it, then generally followed the vid's directions. Been 2 months now and it's working great.

It be better if you have it. It is not necessary as long as you keep both feet above the floor or wear shoes. The blue thing is plastic sheet.

No. Battery has nothing to do with slow operating system.

It’s slow not because of the battery replacement, but because of you upgrading your MacOS to later or the latest version.

The battery model is on the battery not on the Macbook A1502 can fit two different battery types...

Are you serious? The MacBook model tells us what battery we need to buy without having to opening the cover. I don’t know many types of battery that can fit in MacBook A1502 but as long as it is claimed by the manufacturer that it is compatible, I’ll go for it.

I’ve never tried on standby mode. But for battery usage in a normal mode, I can use it up to 9 hours or 10 hours in some cases. But I believe on standby mode, it should last longer.

I replaced mine - Thanks for the video - BUT now my speakers now sound terrible! I've tried pram resets and other troubleshooting steps but they still sound hollow and crackly. Appreciate any thoughts if anyone else had this issue?

Did it happen before you replaced the battery or after? Do they come originally with the mac or replacements?

@@CamTechElearning - After replacing the battery with a non oem replacement. Both left and right have the same crackle and thin sound. It's a shame as the new battery seems fine...it's just the audio is terrible now.

It’s not supposed to happen because these are two completely different things. I think the problem comes from your speakers. They may be the faulty speakers.

No. MacBook pro doesn’t have a power supply like iMac.

How good is the performance of the battery compared to the original one?

I have used it for a year now. It lasts as long as the original about 9h to 10h depending on the usage. Its capacity now drops to 98% after 1 year of usage.

Based on expert's recommendation, alcohol is better than acetone.

Be careful when using adhesive removals or diluted isopropyl! Protect your screens with some cloth!!

thank you so much! my dad needs his computer for most of his work and his computer turns off randomly and dies randomly, wont charge sometimes, etc. so Im gonna tell him he needs a new battery and we will install it 2gether.

I recommend Hamad Benaicha and Apple Pie Tech's videos... the only thing you truly need to remove is the trackpad cable.

It works great. It lasts longer than the Apple battery for the time being. Currently, I can use my MacBook close to 11 hours. However, I'm not sure if it will last 4 years as the Apple battery.

Did it work before? If so, try to completely remove the cable on both ends and reconnect. If the problem still persists, you might need to replace your trackpad and keyboard cable.

Well now my keyboard and track pad don’t work at all following this video. I have tried for the past hour to reattach the trackpad ribbon but it refuses to fully slide in - the small plastic tab on top of the end of the trackpad ribbon snapped off. Now I am stuck with a MacBook Pro that I can’t even log into because the keyboard and mouse trackpad won’t work anymore

You have to be very gentle when detaching and re-attaching the cable. It’s very delicate and fragile.

make sure to PROPERLY insert the battery connector. I thought I had but it turns out the battery connector was slightly unplugged and I thought I had a "bad" new battery. So, i opened it again and verified the connector, and that's when i realized about my mistake.

Don't use this method to replace battery. 2 of my keys letters stop working when somehow some alcohol got to them. Too risky to do it like this. Found out the hard way...ruining my machine. Try using a heat gun/hair dryer on low on the palm aluminum surface on the other side to loosen the glue.
