Just a tip: When taking out and replacing the plastic outer piece tilt the screen all the way back and it makes it 100 times easier :)

Awesome thanks for the video.....i spilled a drink on my laptop Dell 1545 a few years ago....and i had line on the right side this whole time finally got a repacement screen and now i know HOW to replaceit easily... i also replaced my laptop keyboard as well since half the keys would not work.. works great now..... Im bookmarking this when i get the replacement screen i can rewatch it and do it myself ...thanks again :) I so dont drink my drinks around my laptop anymore drinks and laptops DONT mix lol

I was wondering.. My dell 1545 did not have a built in web cam.. Can I buy the actual webcam that fits my laptop and install it with a new bezel (of course). I dont want a aftermarket webcam, but can I do this? And how?? Thanks!

When I cracked the screen by accident I panicked for a second, then I went in my room and got an idea: I have a really old dell laptop with the same screen resoloution and I can just switch the screens. (Or I can just take the screen out of the old one, and then throw the old laptop away. I never really liked that slug dinosaur.)
